As she doggedly pursues the case amid McNab’s interference, Desi uncovers a lucrative underground business and a cold-case murder but this is a world that doesn’t appreciate people asking questions. As she gets closer to the truth, Desi’s career - and life - hang in the balance.

Okay

This book wasn't great, but it was okay and I listened to the end, actually enjoying it. The narrator has potential, but need more practice, so it seems to me. Desi's voice seemed too little girlish and Fin's voice was just wrong.

Not my cup of tea

Didn't like the narrator. Hard to stay interested in the story. The writing seemed stilted too

bloody decent

Good story.Excellent narration. Fast moving police mystery, Reminds you a bit of SILENCE OF THE LAMBS without the deep Hannibal Lector character but with the dogged police detective.

A little rushed at the end

Seemed slow in the beginning and then rushed at the end. No surprises in the protagonists
