Story
A new era has dawned. The forces of humanity are crippled by the ever pressing threat of the Faie. War continues to tear apart the countryside, robbing those who remain of their last shreds of hope. While peace is only a distant dream for some, there exist the brave few who will stand and fight for what they believe in. Magic does not always mean death, and death does not always mean the end. Will love and loyalty prevail, or will those who strive for power and darkness put an end to innocence once and for all?

Story
War is coming. With the reappearance of the Tuatha De, the countryside is thrown into chaos. Entire villages have been obliterated. Magic users are suffering persecution along with the Faie, leaving droves of refuges to wait outside the gates of the great cities, hoping for the acceptance that will never come. After a brief reunion with her companions, Finn is stolen away during the night by an unseen foe. Lost and alone, she must put her trust in a stranger if she hopes to reach Migris alive. Yet, nothing is as it seems, and those she trusts most may be the ones to betray her.

Story
After a century spent as a tree, Finn awakens into a world she barely recognizes. Dark shapes lurk just out of sight, watching her every move as she tries to regain the memories of her past. As if by fate, travelers are drawn to her side. Scholars, thieves, and Iseult, a sellsword who seems to know more about her past than he’s letting on. When one of Finn’s companions is taken by the Faie, she will be forced to make a choice: rescue a woman she barely knows, or leave her newfound friends behind in search of an ancient relic that may hold the answers she so desperately seeks.

Story
London, 1890. The city is ruled by the nobility and the Watch, or so it seems. When an underground organization pursues the alchemical formula to create a soul, bodies begin to pile up, and important figures begin to go missing. Masked men turn the gears of fate, pushing London into a new era where artificial life is only the beginning. Arhyen is the self-declared finest thief in London. The mission was simple. Steal a journal from Fairfax Breckinridge, one of the greatest alchemists of the time. He hadn't expected to find Fairfax himself, with a dagger in his back.

I thought I had the next steps in my journey plotted out. I thought I knew where I was going and who I was going with - the usual crew of Lila, the smart-mouthed tiny dragon, Ford, the man who would be my mate if I let him, and Balder, the horse who has carried me through more danger than I can count. Crap on a camel, I could not have been more wrong. My world is turned upside down when my crew somehow gains two people who would as soon kill me, as see me succeed.

Narrator Kills Story
The narrator admittedly can read out loud 200 times better than me, but, her delivery makes it hard to enjoy the story.
I have tried and tried for 7 days. I would find myself rewinding the book for several chapters trying to locate the moment that her voice made me drone out of the story.
The first book drew me in. The second book I start to have my doubts but I stuck with the story.
I really like a good story. So, I purchased most of the series, squinting did the narrator for the second book was selected for the rest of the series.
I just can't take it anymore I must return the entire series. I am total fan of great stories and great delivery. Otherwise, the word next comes to mind.

Real Pagetuner!! book 3 of Series
I listen to this book on Audible and the Narrator was very very good! This 3rd book brought together so many loose ends of the Series so far, but looks like there is going into more upcoming trouble. At the very end of book 3 appears to hinting at more trials and tribulations to be found in book 4.

Excited to continue this series!
I absolutely devoured book three and was excited to get some answers I’ve been wondering about! The author kept me excited about the story throughout, which can be hard to do in a third book, but nothing was lost or rushed. The plot absolutely is expanded in this book, and we start understanding a lot more than we originally did. I also love the different relationships in this book, and watching how they interact, miss one another, and fight for each other. I would say this was my favorite in the series so far!

Not happy with narrator
I find Hollie Jackson's narration bland and difficult to listen to. She uses very little inflection. I have listened to Book 1 and 2 and preferred Julia Farmer as the narrator in Book 1. As Hollie reads all the other books, I will not be continuing with the series, at least for listening.
