Happiness in a book

This is a fun, funny, frothy, utterly lovely romantic comedy. It is actually funny with just the right touch of pathos to pull the listener in. The male narrator does a wonderful job of voicing a character who is taciturn and controlled, all the while hoping for more than just a friend. The female narrator gently controls and refines a character that could all too easily have been read as an over the top loudmouth. The character voices complement one another beautifully,

I don't read much contemporary romance, but this was a charming story that I read in one sitting. It appears to be the first in a series of stories about a group of firefighters in the Northern California wilderness near Big Bear Lake, and I'm looking forward to the future offerings in this series. I'm not familiar with this author, either, so I'll be checking out the rest of her catalog as soon as I'm finished writing this review.

So funny!

Omg. I haven't even finished it yet and dying to review! It is so funny! I cannot wait to read the whole series and probably everything by this author. I loved every character and just laughed out loud getting to know them throughout the book. Don't skip this one, it's great!

P.S. Just finished and the last 10 minutes or so was the best - such a great audiobook!

Cute

It isn’t the most in-depth story but it’s enjoyable to listen to. As far as the firefighters fighting the California fires…good luck.

Cute Instalove Story

I loved the narrators; both delivered fine performances- but I got the book solely to hear Jacob Morgan’s voice.

The story was cute, but unlikely & slow developing; I was ready for Hunter & Lola to find their HEA. The book could have been a 1.5 hour listen & excelled as a novella.

A quirky, entertaining, and fun journey to go on with Lola and Hunter. Listening to Jacob Morgan’s deep, sultry voice is always amazing. This is the first time hearing Rose Dioro, she was good. I enjoyed this book.
