Ancomprehensive and concise guide

I love the Suzanne Venker showt and this book goes deep into some of the things she talks about in the podcast. it ia a very comprehensive guide that has helped me tame my alpha female and have a better relationship with my husband. Thanks to people like Suzanne I analyzed my behavior, its effects on my husband, and which features of my personality I had to change in order to make my marriage a happy place. If you're willing to change the things that are within your power (you) to succeed in your marriage, you have to read this book.

narrator is irritating, content is great

The narrator has an irritating voice and mispronounces way too many common words.

Content is good. Go read the book instead.

Outstanding.

After listening to this audio book, I think it is every bit as impactful for women as “No More Mr. Nice Guy” is for men. While I don’t necessarily agree with all the content, the vast majority is on the mark. Glad I read it.

life changing book

I loved the eye opening suggestions and advice the author had. now I know how it's done. how to keep a man and what they like...I actually get it

Single Alpha Approved

Purchased this book as a preventative measure to try to see what happens in marriages with alpha women. I'm walking away knowing why I've been single all this time! Great practical information and relatable stories. Some parts were challenging and hard to listen to but this is all new information to me and I awake today a new woman. Five outta five stars.

Finished the book inspire of narrator.

I liked the message/content. However, the narrator’s voice is very irritating and I almost didn’t continue to listen to the book because of it. Her voice is high pitched and I don’t know if I had read vs listened to the book if I would have found it condescending as I did the way it was read. She also mispronounced a few words ie oxytocin pronounced as oxytoxin and a few others.

Awesome book, Horrible narrator

I absolutely loved this book. Suzanne Venker is a great author and has a lot of awesome information to provide. This is my first, but I will be reading ALL of her books. However, I highly encourage her or someone else to re-narrate this for Audible. The narrator in this instance, named Sherry Farmer-Hebert, should find another profession. Her word pronunciation is horrible, and her voice inflections occurred at the most inappropriate times. For the majority of the book, she also yells at the reader, which was inappropriate, given the content of the book. It was almost like she was trying to emphasize the wrong words. While I loved this book, it was incredibly hard to get through on Audible just because of the narrator.

Hoping to finish-narrator is screechy.

The headline says it all......liked the content, but had trouble listening to the narrator with a very high pitched voice.

Maybe a good book (?), but horrible narration

I have only listened to the intro and first chapter, but I’m not sure I can continue due to the narration. I get that they are supposed to annunciate clearly, but she speaks every sentence as if she is reading to a kindergarten class - you can imagine she is holding up a picture book and pausing at every one-sentence page so that the class has time to look at the illustration. Her intonation is completely “off” for what she is reading and her emphasis in each sentence is in the wrong place. I have to visualize and re-read each paragraph in my mind just to get a sense of what I think the author was trying to convey. This wouldn’t be nearly as bad if the book wasn’t supposed to be marketed to “Alpha” women. I don’t know any “Alpha” woman, myself included, who would enjoy or tolerate being “read down to” like the narrator does for this audio book.
