This book was recommended to me by my ENT. It has given me all the tools needed to get myself back on track. I have suffered with acid reflux for many years. I now am aware of all the things I have unwittingly done which may have caused my condition to worsen. This book is a great resource. The Author explains everything in great detail. Fantastic and just gets better!
I really respect this Dr/author and it would be an honor to have the opportunity to meet and shake hands. I found Jonathan Aviv on youtube and quickly consumed all of the content there before downloading and a few months later listening to this book. I've never desired to go to a book signing before but if I heard of one somewhere within a few hours drive I think I'd go. Just a very cool intelligent helpful genuine individual - a rarity! I appreciate you Jonathan Aviv and will continue to recommend your book to many.

Life changing!
3 months ago I had surgery as the “last option” in treating my long standing GERD and have any hope of getting off two PPI medications. No one, nor I, ever questioned my diet, my lifestyle actions, or if I knew anything about the Acid Watcher Diet. I wish I’d learned of this book pre op. I’d have postponed surgery and requested 3-6 months to see if I couldn’t turn things around without surgery by closely following the Acid Watcher Diet. Well, at 10 weeks post op the heartburn, hoarseness, and regurgitation returned with a vengeance. I picked up a book I already had on my bookshelf (but had only skimmed) - The Acid Watcher Cookbook. Began to read that and learned of the book The Acid Watcher Diet. Immediately: found it on Audible, placed a hold on a copy at my library, ordered a new/used copy of my own thru www.thriftbooks.com, and snagged an ebook version via my library’s Libby app! I’m all in. I just
finished the Audible version. I started the changes immediately, two days ago. I am very hopeful. Thank you! ps: I’ll keep my eyes open for an updated version. This one was copyrighted in 2017. It is now August 2022. I will be passing this life changing AWD news along! Bravo for writing this book!

Life changing!
This book has really opened my eyes and helped me immensely - and almost immediately! I have been suffering from acid reflux and “throat burn reflux” for the last several years and never realized how deeply it is tied to my diet. I thought I was just “allergic”’to certain foods. After going on the Healing Phase and then the Maintenance Phase oI the diet, I can say that my digestion is, at least, 50% better, if not more. For the first time in years, I actually look forward to preparing my meals, and eating is, once again, an adventure! I have recommended this book to several medical professionals and friends of mine. I also bought “The Acid Watcher Cookbook” and am looking forward to enjoying those recipes.

Where is the pdf for audible-says it will be in my library but not

The book is just OK
The book explains acid reflux and GERD a little bit. It's not a very scientific book. I believe it mentioned only one research paper in the final chapter. Since onion, garlic, lemon, vinegar are not allowed, it suggest a few herbs to cook with. I ordered sumac, asafoetida, Bragg liquid aminos but haven't received them yet.
The book doesn't have lots of information. But maybe enough information to start the diet. The doctor read the book himself. He read it very slowly. But since it's a short book, it's OK.

Godsend for anyone suffering with reflux and.
I was just diagnosed with Barrett’s esophagus. I was told I would have to take omeprazole for 2 years and that was it. No mention of diet change, habits etc. I saw this book and the great reviews and purchased it. Thank god I did. Now I am so well informed and have a plan and hope to heal and avoid cancer thanks to Dr Aviv. Anyone suffering from any form of reflux needs this book. It could save your life.

Very helpful and concise
A quick listen and extremely helpful for acid reflux guidance, as many doctors just tell you to modify lifestyle but do not provide specifics. I am two weeks in to the diet and considerable difference in chronic cough.
