Publisher's Summary

Tempting Tristan is a stand-alone M/M romance featuring two sexy, lovable alpha heroes.

Tristan and Alex

Fresh off the heels of yet another bad relationship, Tristan Brewer is taking a break from men to try to figure out where he keeps going wrong. He knows his biggest fault - he leads with his heart, not his head - and that’s never going to change. But after several introspective weeks, he’s beginning to get a handle on things. That is until badass heartthrob Alex Wells walks into his bar...

Alex has spent eight years in the army, months in a hospital bed, and far too long hiding his sexual identity. He’s guilt-ridden, damaged, pissed off, and up for a Silver Star for the incident that nearly cost him his life - and kept him from his grandmother’s funeral. But all he wants to do is live the life he’s always dreamed of and forget his stint with the institution that allows but doesn’t necessarily accept.

The chemistry between Tristan and Alex ignites from the moment they meet, and the more time they spend together, the hotter the flames burn. But the closer they become, the more Alex's walls go up, and when the two walk onto a military base, Tristan finds out Alex’s physical scars aren’t the ones that run the deepest.

Harborside Nights is a sexy, hot, and evocatively real series of stand-alone romances that follows a group of friends who have known one another for years as "summer" friends and now come together after college to build their lives. They're tough, edgy, and accepting - most of the time. This series is written in the same loving, raw, and emotional voice readers have come to love by New York Times and USA Today best-selling, award-winning author Melissa Foster, with LGBT themes.

✫✫ 4.5 Stars ✫✫

Since only this book is on Audio so far I haven't read books 1 & 2 but I loved book 3! These guys were sweet, sexy and needed each other so much. I think what I like the most was how Tristan pushed Alex and how much Alex let him in. These two have instant chemistry. Tristan is pretty comfortable in his life but Alex has baggage. Together they work through his issues and they find their way. Such a great love story and SUPER hot too!! Tristan's friends were also a great part of the story line and I hope the other books are about some of them (and they come out on audio). This couple melted my heart completely. If you like MM this is a must listen! Teddy & Jacob ROCKED this audiobook. I love both of their work and together they are complete rock stars!! Great narration choice!

so anything by Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan

so here's the thing I will listen to anything by Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan because their voices are so rich and inviting and lovely. They just draw you in. The story however is awesome easy and full of fluff. I mean there is no angst. No conflict but the inner turmoil the two mean must overcome. its hurt comfort. and poetic at times.

Absolutely Magnificent!

Jacob Morgan and Teddy Hamilton are two of my favorite male narrators. Listening to the two of them narrate this love story was amazing. They nailed it. Alex is an injured soldier who has moved back to the hometown of his grandmother after her death. He meets Tristan the man his grandmother has been telling him about during their conversations while he was overseas. Alex is dealing with the trauma of his injury, hiding his sexuality and dealing with the death of his grandmother. Tristan is a caring person who wears his heart on his sleeve and is accustomed to guys treating him like garbage. Tristan is guarded with Alex and does his best to protect his heart. I absolutely loved this book. Melissa Foster nailed it. The relationship between the two guys is intense and emotional.

What to say about Alex and Tristan?

This book will bury itself deep inside you and just take over. These two characters, both who are dealing with issues and scars of their own, come together in a way that only Melissa Foster can write. They are so real and relatable, you'd think these were guys you hung out with, and you can't help but fall for them instantly. Alex is dealing with PTSD, war wounds; Tristian is healing after a seriously bad relationship; and at the same time, they are both coming to terms with the death of Alex's Grandmother (who was in both their lives in different ways). The emotions this book evokes are strong - and you feel everything right along with these two characters.

Good book!

This was such a great read and Melissa Foster did not disappoint with this book! I enjoyed reading her first M/M book and the return characters were great as usual. I liked the story line of Alex and Tristan as they over came barriers and issues in their lives as they were real problems that people face in life. The connection between the main characters was strong and hot. She showed that you can be an alpha and still have a tender side as well. The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan was enjoyable as the pair brought this story to life. I loved this book from start to finish and look forward to more from her!

Perfect except for one thing

This was my first book by this author. I know it's book 3 in a series, but I read it as a stand-alone. I thought the writing was great, the chemistry between the 2 main characters was hot and tender at the same time. I loved hearing them open up & become vulnerable. The narration was great, but I'm already big fans of both narrators, so that wasn't surprising. So, what didn't I like and kept me from giving it 5 stars across the board? The insta-love (or almost love), or I guess the insta-relationship. It never rings true for me and I prefer a bit more of a build up. But, if you put that issue aside, the growth of the relationship for the rest of the group was great. And this was book was a great example of how the dual POV helped serve the story so much more than a single POV story would have.

All the feels and more!!

My first Melissa Foster book and I absolutely loved it!! Emotional, sexy, witty, and captivating!! I couldn’t get enough of Tristan and Alex. A damaged military hero meets an easy going man who is afraid of being hurt. These two gravitated to one another like it was completely natural and effortless. Alex has been in hiding too long. The Army was a place where he spent eight years afraid to show who he was in fear that his brothers would turn on him but now that he’s back in his home town he’s determined to be the man he really is. After another bad breakup, Tristan is not keen on opening his heart to anyone. Even if the man who wandered into town is a war hero who says all the right things and makes his heart beat triple time. These two were combustible!! They had such a beautiful relationship that was open and honest and I enjoyed every minute of it! I listened to this audiobook and was blown away with Zachary Webber and Teddy Hamilton. They are seriously a dangerous combination that will have you all hot and gooey in all your centers!! Fantastic listen!!!

average with deadpan delivery

This is an average story probably aimed at woman readers. The masculinity would not convince any man. The deadpan delivery of the reader is unusual. I couldn't decide whether I loved it or hated it so I rated it between the two.

Deliciously Tempting

I think I finished this book in one sitting. Once it started I couldn't get enough of both Tristan and Alex. It is no secret Melissa is one of my favourite authors but it is the first time I listen to an MM story from her and I am here begging, no, pleading she continues writing more books in the Harborside Nights. As Tristan is busy working his night shift in the local bar, Alex drops in and can't take his eyes from the sexy bartender. After exchanging a quick note you know you are in for a wild and sexy ride. Their connection is powerful and instantaneous and the chemistry combustible. But what I loved about this story was that it was not just about to guys coming together (in every sense of the word) but also exploring the depth of their feelings fighting their insecurities and demons from their past. Alex is deeply scarred and he bears the injuries of a terrible war accident. Being in the military meant having to hide his sexuality but he is ready to fight for what he wants. Tristan has a heart of gold and he is a giver and cares deeply for those he holds dear, this has led him to be badly hurt by past relationships and he is not looking to put himself in harm's way at the risk of losing his heart but one look at Alex and his carefully constructed plan flies out of the window. Soon both men are craving the nearness and the love they both deserve but in pursuing it they most first learn to let go of their past and stand up and fight for their HEA. As always Jacob Morgan was a joy to listen and he brought the character to life. Tedy put the sole in the character and together they deliver a flawless performance. 5 STARS. Chiselled and screwed down

Chiselled chin injured of mind and body ex military wood sculptor finds his idol and screws him mentally and physically. Dramatic story with lots of angst. Took several tries to reach the end, finally gave up with 1hr to go as could see how it would end, not happily I expect. Teddy Hamilton's narration is excellent but Jacob Morgan, whom I usually love, and am more used to hear reading irreverent comedies like the excellent Priest by Sierra Simone; his minor key voice wasn't upbeat at all, which would've raised the pitch of the story from minor to major, allowing some joy to enter the words and lift the passion. I did not enjoy this book.
