Temporary Insanity

By: Joshua Luis Pereira
  • Summary

  • The Bible teaches us that the time we spend here on earth is temporary. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:18 that “we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” Join us as we discuss some of today’s societal hot topics and learn how scripture guides us through such perilous times. Though our time walking this earth is temporary, or but a "vapor", we still have to overcome the insanity we face on a daily basis. In this podcast we will talk about everything from issues in church, politics, our country, pop culture, and so much more through the lens of Biblical principles, life, and ministry experience as well as from expert guests to discuss, and offer guidance, in navigating the times we find ourselves in.

  • We're Back!!!
    Mar 8 2024

After taking a few months off WE ARE BACK and better than ever with a whole new layout to our show! This week we dive into the world of Sports and Entertainment with Will as we talk about Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey, Hulk Hogan, & Matthew Slater... We talk Super Bowl, accusations of Swifts demonic stage rituals during concerts, the Hulks mission of evangelism, and Slater retiring for a future in the ministry. Next, we jump into our new legal segment with Sierra where we learn about spring breakers breaking Florida! Apparently, Florida is closed for business when it comes to the spring break crowd, or at least there are some heavy rules in place. Sierra takes us into the new order of things since the madness that had taken place over the last couple of years. Sierra also dives into a constitutional case that has us thinking about life imprisonment for a lookout in Pennsylvania, is it fair? Finally, we dive into current events, where the crew gets into a lively discussion about this next election and the future of our country. We paint a picture of what it can look like for the evangelical community... This is where you will find that even though we are not all on the same page, we can still get along! Throughout our entire episode the theme carries that we need to be prepared for the Trumpet to sound for the second coming is near. This is the time where as believers we need to be loud in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

  • Thanksgiving 2023
    Nov 24 2023

In this weeks Special Thanksgiving Episdoe, we dive into Thanksgiving... The good, the bad, and the ugly. We explore its origins, the ugly past it has with the Native American people, and how we try to overlook some of our ugly history. We also dive into how we have allowed commercialism and Black Friday to overshadow the true meaning of the hiliday. The bottom line, we need to come back to the intent of a day of rememberance and giving thanks, further, we need to own the past and accept that it is what has gotten us to where we are.
