Such a cute story
This book was such a lovely journey of two young women figuring out their feelings for each other, deconstructing the roles society had planned for them, and finding their own way. The story burned slowly and steadily, truly ending in an explosion of fire and stars. Can’t wait for the second book!

Slow burn but worth it
The narrators were fantastic! They really did great bringing you into the story. The story was great but also if you read a lot, it has the classic character arcs and storyline but the devil is in the details and the world building was great. The love story here was wonderfully drawn out with the tension well placed and left you wanting more. It's not easy to find lesbian stories but this was well done and I'm looking forward to listening to the next.

Incredibly engaging story with interesting and relatable characters, an interesting well built world, and an addictive love story (though for sure this is way more than just a love story!) One of the best fantasy books I've read in awhile, and one of the best queer fiction books I've read in a long long time
