I'm about one-third through Sword-Maker, and wow did the quality drop. The storyline is fairly stupid thus far, and the constant bitching by both the main characters has just gotten old.

***

OK, halfway through now and the story has improved markedly. Thank goodness.

***

Finished it, and on balance it is OK, but not as enjoyable or engaging as the two previous novels.

Quality really dropped on this one.

I love the series, not a fan of the narrator, though. Nathan Fillion would have been a better fit.

my two cents

I loved this comedic series. I saw comments about chauvinism and wanted to say that is the point. These books made me laugh and think about relationships. It is pure entertainment. I loved the narration as it fit the characters well. You’re cheating yourself if you don’t indulge.

Old favorite series

I love Tiger and Dell, and it seems like these books just keep getting better as the series goes on. Tiger believes that he killed Delilah in their last sword dance. He finally got off of the island, but he is still healing from the nasty wound that Dell gave him. Then, as the story goes on, he finds that he did not kill Del and she ends up joining him to follow the hounds to where they are coming from.. when they do find where the hounds are coming from the get a lot more than they expect. One of the things I like about these stories is they seem to have more than one story within each book. After Tiger and Del
dispatched with the hounds, then they ended up going south. The track to the south was an adventure in itself. Del was looking for the person she wanted to kill but yet they learn some other interesting things about why all the tribes were gathering together in one place in the desert. I am excited to read the next book of the series.

Tiger is a man to love, fear, and laugh with through the whole tale. Del is a beautiful strong woman. They make an awesome team!
