Feeling sad and hollow now that it’s over

For the book:

I’ve read some comments that this was one of the boring books in the series. In a sense, I can understand where this comment came from. Survive is definitely not as action packed as the other books, but I really liked all the romantic and funny/warm hearted moments. It was a nice break from the Adrenalin I was feeling during the third book. The only con I can really think of is that the reading is so slow (as with the other books). I read it comfortably on the x1.2 speed.

The series:

I’m not sure where to begin with the Atlantis Grail series. I’m so blown away by the world building and detail. I feel like this world could be part of a D&D game. Because of this, I will be exploring all the fan fiction available on the internet.

The only cons I have are the reading speed and shuttle (not so important) details. I wish there was more romance between Aeson and Gwen during books 1 and 2. I already had a feeling they’d end up together, but it would have made me more happy to have more build up (not everyone as the time to read 1.5 books to get to the juicy love stuff). I’ve also come to appreciate book 2 more than I thought I would because it wasn’t as action packed as books 1 and 3. I liked the overall pace of it and even sped up the reading to read on more quickly. On that note, I read books 2, 3, and 4 basically on x1.2 speed and it was so much better than reading it on x1 speed. Otherwise, the performance was amazing. Sofia willingham really knows how to tell a story and to be honest, I have no idea how she managed to pronounce everything so seemingly authentically.

Now that I’m done with the series, I’m feeling that sort of reading depression that people fee after they’ve read a good book and don’t know what else to read. This series has made me feel so many things: happiness, warmth, grief, anger, awe, and love. I just want more!!!

Loved this series! Start with book 1, “Compete”.

This is an older YA series, including non-gratuitous descriptions of sex in the latter books of the series. Fair warning for those upset by such things, though the characters engaging in sexual actions were married, if that matters.
I loved this series. Only a few times did I drift off due to the length, but then I had to rewind and pick up what I’d missed, it was that good.
The story was original, well executed. It was fascinating to watch the characters grow up and mature through the series.
I wish there was just one more novel, to pick up the couple of thoughts that didn’t get tied up, and to explore the world building without constant danger to the characters.
The narration was excellent too.
By the time I was finished, I’d forgotten that I really wouldn’t be able to weave starlight, no matter how right and simple it seemed.

Meh end of a Thrilling Series

Throughout the Atlantis Grail series Vera Nazarian has built a detailed, tangible world full of lovable characters and tight action. This outing puts the whole story connected to a strange discovery that ties everything together with a story of etherial twins separated in Earth's early history. Sort of a weird event to put everything on the line. Balance is restored but then what. Where I would want to hear more about how Gwen and family adapt to their new situation we get a fast forward of about 8 years with a paragraph devoted to each character. Where is the detail we love? These eight years are fodder for 4 more books, and you just feel a bit cheated.

Not that great

Is Gwen supposed to be extra annoying in this book? I’m so tired of the over explanation of her feelings on everything and how innocent she’s supposed to be.

Best of the series!

This was definitely the best of the series. It was a good mix of YA, space fantasy, and court politics.

Stunning conclusion

This is the fourth and final book of the 4 book series The Atlantis Grail. You need to read them in order as it is a long, continuing story. The same narrator, Sofia Willingham reads all four books and she is perfect since the books are written in first person from the protagonist teenager Gwen Lark's perspective. Sofia has a voice perfect for Gwen and uses it well to enhsnce the storyline and bring it all to life. Enjoy this long conclusion to the series!

Great ending to a great series. Very long

I was very happy with the final book to this series. I thought Stephen King had diarrhea of the mouth, but this book takes the cake. Not saying it's a bad thing. But holy cow 🐮. Some parts took four to five minutes to explain a room, or a feeling. It was a bit much sometimes. Other then that, I can't wait for the movie. This could be the next lord of the rings. If you are into space Oprea's this is a great book. I would definitely recommend it. Thank you have a nice day.

Poor

The first three books were very enjoyable and were very easy to read. Although I am only on chapter 60 out of 108 there is no story in this book. It just goes on about her weading which is very dull.

So disappointed!

The first 3 books were terrific; I couldn’t wait to get this one. Very disappointing! Our tough, independent heroine becomes a whiney, clingy girl and we are subjected to more than 25 hours of wedding preparations! I’m not kidding! The only thing that kept me listening was that it was good at putting me to sleep at night.

torn

I loved the first 3 books and was so excited that this was 40hours long, until I actually started it... unlike when physically reading books I couldn't really skip sections on audible and found some sections mundane and 'wordy' with information that wasn't relevant. I really really wanted to love it but Gwen just seemed too perfect too forgiving and alittle dull i felt she lacked substance and all the solutions just fell into her lap. I found myself rolling my eyes ALOT! But im glad I listened to it and got to finish the journey even though it wasn't the spectacular ride I was hoping for.

a little disappointed

ive been trying listen the the entire book some bits kept me engaged but I just wanted the action and big finale to happen already I've got 5.5 hours left and not sure I'll listen to it I've been rather bored with this book from the start spoiler alert the imperial wedding was lovely but I feel like the leading the wedding could have been shorter to get to the real action
