Good book, but not my genre

I really like post-apocalyptic books, but I don't enjoy super-hero or "special powers" type books. That's what this is. I suspected it, but I gave it a shot for about 8 hours . . . but gave up. It was very well written, and if I liked that genre, I think it would be a great book.

Finally

Finally getting to enjoy this wonderful series as an audible book. The narrator does a masterful job of bringing Chaney's rich, complex story to life.

Addicting!

This is the series that got me hooked on JN Chaney's books! You will too! I feel like it has been so long since I have read this, I need to read them again! Love them!

What is going on with the voice?!

I hate to give a low rating based in a voice so trying to not rate it solely on that. the voice used to narrate this story is so weird...at any minute I expected him to say " myy preeecious". it's so over done and completely takes away from the story. Felt like I was listening to the land of Hobbits or something. the story seems good so far but don't think I can finish based on...the voice. 🤣

I’m mesmerized

The narrator is perfect for this story, he really brings it home. The plot moves along at a good pace and the explanation of phenomena is convincing. I love it when I find a book that I can’t wait to return to as soon as I’m off work or free of some other obligation .
