A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Publisher's Summary
Junior year has come for the remaining students of Melbrook Hall, and it promises to be the most difficult one yet. With one of their own gone and another under serious investigation, none of the former Powereds know how many days remain for them in the Hero Certification Program. The time they do have will be filled with more trials and classes, honing their skills as they work toward the increasingly difficult goal of becoming Heroes.
Ample new challenges await them, and not all of them can be met within the safety of Lander's campus. Fallout from last year's final exam has stirred the interest of many parties, not all of them friendly.
With enemies pressing in from all directions, it's going to take new alliances, dedication, and countless hours of training if they want to last another year.

Drew Hayes Has Created An Absolute Masterpiece!
This is the 3rd installment of this series, (the Corpies volume was outstanding as well but not sure how it fits into this amazingness) has been one of my all time favorite books ever! just to add some perspective I have listened to over 400 audiobooks in the last 3 years in the Sci-fi and paranormal genre. I have been a fan of Mr. Hayes for a while, but this series is just incredible. it literally sucks you in, makes you almost emotionally attached to the characters. I could go on and on about how you should go out and get the entire series, but if you are a fan of not only excellent writing, narration, character & environmental development, and a storyline that make you feel like you are right there, a part of the action as well as the emotions, or if you just really like audiobooks, then as as fellow fan, I very strongly suggest that you start from year 1 in the series and have at it... you would have to be new to this series , if you had have already listened to any of the previous books you would not be reading any reviews, you would have already had this and the others downloaded, so get to it, you will not be disappointed.
PS
thank you Mr. Hayes, you have given this Marine Corps Purple Heart recipient & disabled Veteran multiple hours of absolute enjoyment... I truly appreciate it

Give me every bit of these in bags w/drawstrings
OK, Drew Hayes Is only equalled by Brandon Sanderson. From Years 1, which I bought on a park and was absolutely flabbergasted by by the third chapter, forward I've purchased and eagerly awaited.
Other than to beg you to read these novels, the only things I've to say is, now that Year 3 FINALLY is out, fans might want to reevaluate when they read Corpies (a side project which, much to my consternation at the time, was released between Years 2 and 3), reading order wise. Without spoiling anything, I'd say the timeline suggests it'd be more helpful to read Corpies (which is essential, btw, because, again, Hayes is like Sanderson in apparently being unable to write a bad novel) between 2 and 3, though certainly not after 3. Just a heads up. Amazing, wonderful, essential... Keep the book lengths this long, Mr Hayes. This rivals Stormlight Archives in my mind and, I'd bet dollars to nickels, many Fantasy fans.

Not just a great next step but evolved writing.
I fell into the series accidentally with Corpies. I love the unique and ever evolving story and admit that I put the release dates in my calendar as PreOrders are still unavailable.
This story is not just a fantastic progression in the story arch but also you can really see how Drew Hayes has evolved as a writer. Any complaints I previously had like the over usage of "he said" and "she replied" making large group conversation tedious is gone. It's almost like Drew asked what the nit picky complaints were that I had and used them to improve. 40 plus hours is a long listen and generally full of 25 hours of repetition. For this 3rd book in the Super Powereds series, each word is necessary. For those that love a detailed fight scene and for those that love young romance or cloak and dagger, this book has something for everyone. The best thus far.
I don't like to put spoilers in my reviews but considering the time investment I will had only a few so of you don't like Spoilers, stop reading now:
For the love of God, finally Vince recognizes Camille and in case you were worried, Nick is back baby.
Drew, I sincerely thank you for all your work and look forward to the next installment.

Easy listening - wonderful charagters
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have already recommended this series to family and friends. Also good for teens (some suggestions about hooking up but not too must sex talk). Good comparisons between good and evil and how the world seems to view people who are different. Mostly just a good read with funny characters that you grow to love.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Vince - he represents what most people aspire to be. In the face of all his adversity he still tries to do the right thing.
Which character – as performed by Kyle McCarley – was your favorite?
Titan - he was a wonderful character - flaws and all
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes - laughed and cried. Always cheering for the underdog and hating the bad guys.

Great Writing Evolved to Heroic Proportions
Would you consider the audio edition of Super Powereds: Year 3 to be better than the print version?
While I haven't looked at the printed version, I just can't imagine it not being so. Kyle McCarley's voices are varied, constant, and add so much to the story. With the amount of characters in this book, I am amazed that he has so many voices in his repertoire.
What did you like best about this story?
Characters. With as much as we've learned about the Group of 5, this volume opens up other characters to really bring out their characteristics and make them an important part of the story. My favorite character developed in this book that was a side character in previous books was Chad Taylor. Who knew someone so flat in books before could be so well rounded this far into a series?
Which scene was your favorite?
The end event in the book is quite gripping. It was exciting and suspenseful. It was also the first time in the entire series where I had to fight back tears sitting in the parking lot as I prepared to walk into work. The event really wasn't the sad part, it was Vince's reaction to it that really tugged at the heart strings. Through 3 books, Vince is still the main character and still the one who drives the emotional diesel truck through the pages.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I think I was supposed to talk about holding back tears here. See the above comment.
Any additional comments?
Through book 1, then 2, and now 3, this has been a riveting series that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Like the characters in the book getting more powerful as they train and work out their abilities, Drew Hayes seems to be getting better chapter by chapter as a storyteller and the master of a Super Powered universe. He truly has taken up the mantle of the superhero, "The Author." God help us all if he decides to write a story about our universe.

Good story, but the narrator...
Overall this is a good story. The narrator takes a little to get used to, though that is likely to be the writer using "he/she said", etc, a bit too much. Though once you push past that, this story is a gem that does require you to have listened to the previous stories.

A complete mind bender.
This is the second book in a fantastic series. The author has a firm grasp on the tropes that make this one of the best emerging genres.
