Meh...

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Narrator gave the main character a childish and winy voice.

Any additional comments?

Very cheesy and the romance between the two main characters is weird and creepy.

no good.

This book read like a murder mystery game, I just couldn't get into it. The narrator was great but not even that could help. I did finish it but it wasn't easy.

Main character needs more fight in her

I am a very very long time Nora Roberts lover. I honestly think I have every book she ever wrote. On chapter 8 of this book and I’m not sure I want to continue. Maybe it’s because I’m listening to it instead of reading it as I usually do, but it seems to me that the main character is putting up with abuse that is a whole new level for Nora Roberts. After a lot of verbal abuse, she says no, admit she’s terrified...says no and he pushes again. says no again and he continues to push, hold her down and push until she finally gives in. I seriously, in my mind thought that he was going to rape her. This is very troubling.

from Lorelei on storm warning by Nora Roberts 0

this was a short story and I really don't care for short stories I like the long novels that really get into the characters in the story so I felt a little bereft. the writing was excellent and the voice reading the story was was good but I was again just a little be rift and I'll try to get longer stories next time I read Nora Roberts because she's my favorite author.

Very Disappointed

I’ve been reading Nora Roberts for 20+ years. This is the only one of her books I’ve ever been disappointed in. It should not have been re-released.

hard time finishing this book. I didn't feel excited about the story itself. Not intense enough for me.

Hard to believe Nora wrote this!

I’m a major Nora Roberts fan, but I can’t recommend this book. It’s an earlier work, from 1984, and she has grown exponentially as a writer since then. In this book the female lead tolerated abuse from her former lover like a spineless idiot. The premise that she still loves him doesn’t justify allowing him to almost rape her and to grasp her throat and threaten to throttle her. He’s thoroughly unlikeable and she’s a simpering wimp. Save your credit for more recent Nora titles.

Not her best work

Not her best work, main character pitfully weak. Terrible narration, usually the choice of naraters is spot on but not so with this narration.
