I loved Richie Tankersley Cusick’s books back in the 90s when I was in middle school, so every now and then I’ll catch one on sale and get it out of nostalgia.

I’ve learned that I was not a very discerning reader when I was 11. Cusick has a formula and while it’s present in all her books, this one really follows it down to the letter. There’s not a ton of plot here beyond the “very bland girl is under threat by an unknown stalker until they reveal themselves to her at the end” trope.

I’d strongly recommend going with Fatal Secrets or Trick or Treat if you’d like to revisit some RTC YA from your youth- those also follow her formula, but I think they do it the best.
