Every rebels dream book

Shelley Paxton is our rebel queen.
Her book and her work truly inspires me, and “soul sabbatical” is now the term I use for my yearly break from the world. Her “rebel for vs against” was transformational, is it removed some of my extreme polarities to my own rebel nature.

Best book i have listened to in a long time

This book is fantastic.
The narration (by the author), is just perfect. Telling her own story... it is so genuine. She is articulate and speaks the way people actually talk to one another. I felt as though she were just speaking to me.. telling a story. And her story is remarkable.
I loved this book. I highly recommend it. ...for anyone. There is something for everyone in this book and it should be shared.

Best read this year!

With raw vulnerability and laugh-out-loud humor (I read chapter 3 “that time I put my car in the lake” two times!), Shelly Paxton nails it! What a purposeful and inspiring book. I stumbled across this and so glad I did! One of my favorite reads in 2020.

One of the most inspiring books ever

Shelley Paxton has lived and written an incredible journey and knowing it has just begun is exhilarating! Her passion is contagious for all things Soulful and Soulbbatical. Though she seems like an enigma at times, she also just seems like a regular person who found the courage and love to chase after her dreams.

I am already on a Soulful Journey but I believe I just got kicked up a notch! I mean “meta mind f***ery”?! For real, and I want it every damn day!

Thank you, Shelley, for writing (and reading) this book. Thank you for being real, honest and believing in yourself. Thank you for showing me what comes with radical rebellious authenticity!

Deeply engaging. A great book for this time!

I loved this book! Shelley, as the author and reader, makes this a deeply personal, honest, moving, funny, relatable...and inspiring read/listen. Her own journey, complete with her hard-fought career victories, great curiosity for learning and growth and self-admitted struggles, makes her an empathetic and accessible person to listen to, and listen with. If you're going to read something which will likely give you a kick in the ass to think bigger, be more courageous or shed some demons in your way, you're going to want to believe that the person telling you all this is real, and Shelley is totally so. I also like the way she mixes the depth of her stories of her personal journey with a toolkit-like approach to things you can do, explore and learn to help you ultimately be more at peace, and actually better, in your own skin...whether it be corporate, personal, creative or all of the above. A great listen, at a time in particular, when i think a number of us could use some guidance and inspiration to push us forward into new directions or chapters in our lives. Thank you Shelley!

Great book. Couldn’t stop listening. Every turn, Shelley learned, and so will you if you don’t let you excuses get in the way. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

I want a refund, horrible story her story telling

someone else should have told the story maybe it just reads like a bad storyteller reading something out of a book and I couldn't even follow along it was like something totally made up I want a refund.

I was so incredibly disappointed by this book. The only thing that wa confirmed is how profoundly selfish some people can be. Terrible.
