I discovered Dr. Backman on the Gaia Consciousness podcast and was inspired to explore her work more deeply—and Soul Design did not disappoint! I finished this book in two days and then went back and book-marked the summary/homework questions/things-to-think-about sections… at the end of each chapter.

This book offers far more than conceptual insights—it shares real past-life and between-lives regression recordings from Dr. Backman’s clients. Listening to their journeys felt like witnessing the soul’s blueprint in action. The stories are deeply moving, illuminating how our challenges, gifts, and relationships all serve a greater spiritual purpose.

Dr. Backman’s wisdom about soul evolution and the intricate ways our lives are designed for growth resonated deeply with me. Soul Design is both inspiring and profoundly thought-provoking—a must-listen for anyone interested in understanding their soul’s path and purpose.

Thought provoking

The content was thought provoking for someone who is unsure about the reality of reincarnation. However, the content was undergirded with much truth, wisdom, and compassion. The content invites us to broaden our perspectives of reality and to get in deeper touch with our life purposes.

The narration could have been better. The expression was somewhat lacking and at times I even wondered if it was produced by AI. Also, a few of the words were mispronounced.

AI voice narration

I wasted an audible credit to hear it read by an AI voice which didn’t have enough of a voice sample to not sound like AI. What a waste of a credit. I could have bought the kindle version if I wanted to hear AI. It’s a shame because I love the author. Linda is a wonderful person and I wish she read her own book.
