Great Story, Fabulous narrator

MB is one of my favorite writers. Rosalyn Landor is the best narrator I have ever listened too. Ms. Landor brings Ms Balogh's characters to life in such a way that you feel their joy as well as their pain.
Love this series of "someone" I've listened to all of them and follow their paths through life.
Keep them coming Ms. Balogh and please keep Ms. Landor reading all of your future books.

Mary Balogh continues to be one of my favorite historical romance writers. Such well-developed characters, descriptive settings and intelligent dialogue provide the plot with all that is needed for an absorbing and satisfying read. This third book portrays a woman, Wren, "marred" with a side of her face "disfigured" by a large, red birthmark. She is a successful business woman who hides her face with a veil and is nearly a recluse. But she wishes to marry. How to do so? Use her wealth as a means to entice a quality man to wed her. And the plot begins. So many challenges that requires so much courage to face them as Wren and Alex (the quality gentleman) navigate a relationship right into a lovely HEA. Adding Rosalyn Landor's narration to the story always adds an extra dimension of lovely to my satisfaction.

So full of heart and love! Rosalyn Landor is the perfect narrator! I’m loving every one in the Westcott Series. Mary Balogh has done it again…a wonderful story-teller!

I felt like I could really relate to the main female character. She was lost and isolated in the beginning of the book but ended up finding herself along the way. This was a phenomenal listen. Thank you 🩷

A glimpse inside

Mary Balogh’s stories spoken by Roselyn Landor surely top the long list of British romances set in Napoleonic times. The little freedoms that women had are clearly shown and their vestiges can be spied in the modern royal family.

Hallmark card in a book!

I needed some thing going on, while I was spring cleaning the office. This fit the bill. There were a few moments of intrigue, but basically, a Hallmark card in a book. The narrator made it bearable.

Wonderfully moving story

Really interesting start & a beautiful ending although I would loved a few more chapters, a baby on the way, going home together, etc
