Story
Eco-terrorists unleash the worst attack the world has ever seen. Over 25,000 autonomous combat drones are released in Manhattan. Hundreds of thousands are dead, and the entire island is evacuated and quarantined in just a few days' time. Ten years later, Manhattan is still empty of humans, with the exception of the salvage specialists of the most watched reality show in history: Zone War. Produced live and unedited, the show follows five teams of armored vehicle specialists who brave the active drones to recover lost riches and collect bounties on dead ones.

Story
Savid DelaCrotia is the third born son of one of the Kingdom of Montshire’s oldest and most respected High families. Cast aside by his father at an early age, it’s up to him to make his own way and create his own honor. With just his horse, his weapons, the clothes on his back and in his pack, and the education that his family provided, he’ll have to go it alone. Luckily, he already has a pretty good idea of what he’s good at - fighting, and woodcraft - not to mention finding hidden and lost items.

Orson Reid: college freshman, gamer, and quite possibly the legendary boogeyman of the magical world. And you thought your life was weird. It all started the night Orson kissed his best friend, Elyse, and she kissed him back. Yes, the kiss was life changing, but in ways Orson never could have imagined. It seems he contracted a "virus" that is making him taller, faster, and stronger. But his life doesn't go completely off the rails until the night Elyse shows up at his house, strips out of her clothes, and shape-shifts into a giant cat - a panther, to be exact.

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.

Blaze MacKenzie is a freakishly tall heiress who just discovered that her "parents" actually found her abandoned as an infant in some bizarre human sacrifice in the woods. Along with that nasty little bit of information came a $600,000 check, a strange golden feather, and the ability to move to the Alaska Bush and begin her dream life living off the grid. Unfortunately for Blaze, life in rural Alaska isn't as peaceful as she imagined. Among her many startling discoveries is that her sexy new handyman, Jack Thornton, has already "claimed" the territory that her new lodge is sitting on.

I understand the theory of following the rules...I’m just not very good at the application. Because rules were meant to be broken, and St. Louis has a bit of a supernatural infestation these days. Great yet frustrating
Per the usual with this series it's amazing and I don't want to stop listening. However, in this one, I became quite frustrated with (SPOILER ALERT) a very pregnant vampire endangering her unborn babies by actively fighting. Why was there no discussion at all on this? Can you tell me that in all honesty the God-Hammer didn't have his reservations or concerns about this? Just didn't feel "realistic" to the story for there to be no discussion or what should have been a fight over this. I don't care how much of a bad ass you are, you don't just actively fight a bunch of bad asses while so pregnant you're about to give birth without any discussions on the dangers of this stupid action. Regardless of the outcome, it was stupid and beyond frustrating.
Also, why is it that all the female main characters can boss the 2 main males around so much and get away with it? Why are these men being "emasculated" without so much as an inkling of them standing up for themselves or putting some of these womens' comments in their place? This is being asked by nearly 50 year old strong female fyi.
Otherwise, still a great addition to the series : )

Another save the world adventure for Chris and Tanya
It is always fun and exciting to visit the world where Chris Gordon lives. The series continues to be engaging and the storylines fresh. James Patrick Cronin continues to deliver a stellar performance on the narration. This book focuses mostly on Chris and Tanya. This is the 11th book in the urban fantasy Demon Accord series. I love that Chris’ character, despite being a fallen Angel and having overwhelming powers, is still sweet, a bit naive, modest, and awkward man which makes him a very likeable hero. Chris and Tanya (along with Declan, Stacia and the others) are hunting down the death magic witch and her demon spawn who were introduced in Rogues. The team is dealing with that plus Omega, the first quantum computer, and the fact that Tanya is pregnant with twins. Many of the characters from the other books are in this book as well. There are also a few new characters who are introduced. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre - fighting, dangerous situations, end of the world scenarios, paranormal creatures, evil masterminds, henchmen, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, mystical coincidences, snark, and laughs. I will definitely keep reading the series to see what evil beings and plans are thwarted by Chris, Tanya, Declan, Stacia and the rest of the crew.

Why aren't these characters smarter?
Chris and the gang, or should I say Declan and company.... why? because all of a sudden, its Declan can do this and Declan can do that, and Declan, Declan, Declan. I miss the good old days when the story was about the characters you were introduced to. All of a sudden, the only characters growing in strength, creativity and ability with his talent is Declan. No one else has really matured. Chris , Tanya , Stacia and even Nikka all have Hella potential but the writer spend all his time developing Declan that they have been on the same level since the demons attacked Washington. Its the Declan show. Dude is a Swiss army knife, mixed with MacGyver, and Gandolf the white. "He can do it all folks!"
Why hasn't Chris taken Asakawa's advice and learn how to absorb the dark energy he needs so he doesn't need to pig out after and sometimes "during" a fight? He has his memory back, so why not put it to work?
Where are Tanya's angel aura blast? Chris is running out of juice!
Why can't Nikka mind control yet?
Are there any new tricks Stacia and her pack can learn?
Declan seems to grow situation by situation. Each situation he has a creative way of dealing with it, while everyone remains the same. Chris is still trying to punch every problem in the face. Tanya seems to want to cut everything. and the rest I've lost interest in.
Next. Why do they always go brag to the government how powerful they are, then are surprised that the government does something to call thier bluff. We were barely 5 chapters in before they were talking all big and bad to the New President about Omega and all he can do, then gonna stand around surprised when they do something about it later. smgdh.
And having a concert to distract strippers was ridiculous.
I like the characters. I want them to succeed. But alot of thier problems are self inflicted and Influenced. Not all but alot!
Look just remember your writing for more people than Declan fans and I could survive the rest.

Warning edge of your seat adventure.
Wow it's action packed. Pemican bars needed for this all out hell raising adventure. Las Vegas will never be the same. Abilities get tested in this all out action adventure. James Patrick Cronin does a fantastic job narrating this whole series. It is easily the best paranormal adventure romance series available. I own all of the series and to date of my review is 20. The books have strong characters with love adventure romance and worthy villains. All types of my favourite types of paranormals are here. It is a smorgasbord of awesome. I know there are lots of books in the series and not one is a dud. They are all long enough to really give you everything you want in a book. I can't recommend them enough.
