Publisher's Summary

Sirtimi finds himself as a performer dating back in the 1600s using what he can for makeup with chalk and water. Walking home on a late night after a performance, he finds himself faced with a person wounded badly who claims that it was done by a Lycan. Doing what he can, he tries to help the dying person, which happens to not be anything of that but rather a Drackulis.

When close to the wounded creature of the night, Sirtimi is bitten and left to live on with the Drackulis legacy. From there, Sirtimi learns more of his abilities and seeks to make others like himself. Along the way, he finds out that he has twin boys prior to him being a Drackulis. His ultimate desire after time has passed is to form a council of his kind and to seek out the very one that killed his maker.

Descent Short

I enjoyed the story, it was fast but a good listen. I have read a couple of Ballinger's other works and they have all been pretty good. Kay Webster did an okay job of narrating. I was provided this audiobook from FABC for free in exchange for my review.

Such an incredible ending to an amazing series.

If you have not checked out the other books in the series, definitely stop reading this and check them out. This book was the perfect conclusion to the series. I found myself doing dishes and unable to stop listening. If you are in need of a fun but yet dark tale then put your headphones on and start listening. This book is perfect!

The Changing of Sirtimi

Wow this novella was the one that really got to me in the worse way because Sirtimi is really twisted. The storyline in this introduction is intriguing and well written. I highly recommend this book and series. I am voluntarily leaving this review that is honest and unbiased.

From Dianne Row -- Sirtimi

Of all the Swanson texts, Sirtimi is my favorite of the Bloodline character shorts. From humble, unassuming beginnings, Sirtimi becomes so much of everything. He carves out a world filled with power, devastation, and manipulation. His evolution reaches into the four elements and changes the landscape of the world.

Good story

I enjoyed Sirtimi’s story. While short, I didn’t feel like anything was missing we learn is past and how he ended up as a vampire.
He’s so remorseful after his first feeding my heart melted for him. The narration really fell short for me but the story is really good

Every player has a story

I love finding out more details of characters backstory, things that happened to them that influence their later decisions.

That's exactly what you get with Sirtimi. We find out how he became a vampire and some of the things he did while learning about his new state of being.

I am looking forward to hearing the other character stories and then seeing how they all come together.

The only drawback I found with this audio was that sometimes the narrator's pace felt a bit off, mostly she was fine and the distinct character voices were all done, but there were several bits of no dialogue, description of place, other people, various actions, where the pace of the narration was a bit off. It was annoying but not so off putting that I didn't listen to the whole of the story and for the most part enjoy the overall thing.
