This is a great guide for new parents. It'll help you with things you might not have thought of going in and shows you how to navigate the issues that occur. I knew nothing about midwives before starting this book... If you're a nervous first-time parent, give this book a listen. Great tips.

From pregnancy to baby food, this book offers practical approaches to parenting. The suggestions consider safety for the baby and convenience for the mom. You could save time and money by reading this book.

Very good information

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The author talks about midwives, home births, breast feeding, and much more, A midwife should have supplies such as Pitocin, and oxygen, and know when to seek help. You can order supplies for home births, in a kit on line. That is new information to me. There is information on cloth diapers, weaning, and infant pottying, which is not mainstream. She talks of how to help a baby pass gas. I wish I had known that when my daughter had colic! I bought this book as a paperback to give to my pregnant niece. That is how great this book is.

If you have ever wondered about midwifery, giving birth at home, cloth diapers or baby led weaning, this book is for you. I bought this book for my expectant friend and she loved it. Although some may feel these topics are a bit alternative, this book shows you how to implement them to save money and simplify your life with your new baby. Highly recommend for any expectant or new parents!

A great read for expecting parents!

I hadn’t heard of most of the unconventional baby care methods in this book but the clear explanations and examples made these concepts so relatable and approachable! I highly recommend this to new and expecting parents. Even if you decide some of these methods aren’t for you, it’s great to know what’s out there and what your options are.
