Publisher's summary

“Are you sure you’re ready for what comes next?”

In an Osaka noodle bar, a powerful businessman meets a grisly end—eviscerated and beheaded. Another influential figure sits entombed in his fortress-like underground bunker, anxiously anticipating a similar fate.

Night after night, a spectral woman stalks his dreams: an unyielding assassin backed by a ruthless yakuza army. Systematically eliminating key figures in Japanese business, she appears to be climbing the power ladder toward her ultimate target.

Yet, the man in the bunker has an ace up his sleeve. He marshals his forces to find the enigmatic Azrael and his son, by any means necessary, to protect his life.

What ensues is a storm of epic proportions. Assassins, gangsters, mercenaries, bodyguards, and vengeful sirens collide in a deadly game where every card dealt is a matter of life and death.

Great story, well written

This this was another great story, well written and very well performed. I had lost interest in David Archer's Noah Wolf series, but Peter Black spark that interest back.

Best book in the series

From start to finish, it was a nonstop roller coaster! The only bummer was what happened at the end- yuki should’ve gotten her own series

Megh. Well that happened

Not my favorite. Story and details are kinda weak. Narration is tough to get into a well. The Japanese accents the narrator does are borderline insulting.
