Publisher's Summary

As an IT expert and hacker extraordinaire, Wren Nelson is no stranger to discovering all sorts of secrets online.

He’s a warrior...when he’s behind his computer, that is. And awkward at best in social situations. His long hours with Blackbridge Security don’t really provide many opportunities to go out and meet people. So, what is he supposed to do when a wrong delivery - a questionably large box of bedroom toys - ends up in his hands instead of its intended target?

Online stalking has always been his go-to to accumulate information on people, but only seeing Whitney through digital displays isn’t enough. Approaching her doesn’t seem like the best plan, either. What he doesn’t know is that this woman is possibly the only one in existence able to give him a run for his money.

Cute

Better than the first one. I sorta enjoyed their little dip into the lifestyle but Callie’s voice is a little too practiced to me for it to seem real. Jacob, a master at his craft.

Another Great One

This is book 2 and another fantastic story! You do not have to read/listen to book 1. Lover series that are stand alone’s but you get little wink of more information from previous couple & a nod to future couples.
Jacob & Callie’s narration is again excellent!! I enjoy them so much.

Excellent!!!

First things first... Jacob Morgan and Callie Dalton did a phenomenal job with the narrative, clear and concise! Oh my gosh, this was a rollicking good, laugh out loud funny!! It was fun, flirty, and sexy! Wren and Whitney was a perfect foil for each other. They had so much chemistry. Puff Daddy the bird!! Loved this story so much!!! Absolutely recommend this narration, it was phenomenal!!

My Thoughts on Shot in the Dark

I don't think there are enough words to describe how much I loved this book.

Wren and Whitney were amazing. Something about a hot nerdy guy just does it for me. But combine that with a fiesty, independent, nerdy girl and you have one hell of a book that I just couldn't stop listening to. And honestly I didn't want to.

I was that perfect combination of happy and sad when it ended. Happy that I had just experienced one of those amazing books that is a perfect example of why I love reading. And sad that it was over and there were no more words to read.

This book also had so many other elements I loved. Suspense, good friends, funny pets, and even a well intentioned but pushy grandma.

I'm so happy this is only book two in this new series by Marie James because that means I have many more to look forward to and I have not doubts there's more romance gold to come.

I also couldn’t have been more thrilled with these narrators. Jacob Morgan and Callie Dalton slayed again. I only hope this pairing will happen more often.

The more I listened the more I loved this one.

Whitney & Wren (Puff Daddy & Simon)

I enjoyed the narration (especially that dirty bird Puff Daddy). They did a great job with the narration with this sometimes hysterical story. The more I listened the more I loved this one!

Two hackers...oops I mean IT experts, who aren't very social live in the same apartment building. Another misdelivered box starts it all. Talk about a surprise. Now he just has to figure out how to return a box of bedroom toys to the woman who pushes all his buttons. His job is to find out about people for the security company he works for. This time his online search might not be professional but he needs to know more and man does he find out a bunch.

He arranges a meet online to game and more. It seems they have more in common than game playing. Will they manage to get together in real life? Add the two pets in their lives Puff Daddy (the filthy beaked bird we met in the last book) and a rescue cat that rules with an iron paw gives you a never-a-dull-minute read.

Great characters, the team he works with loves to torment him and teach his bird more. The guys are also loyal and are ready and able to help when danger enters.

Great audio.

Kink alike?

"She's too pretty to be a criminal". Out of the beak of an African Grey Parrot, aka Puff Daddy.

I loved this book and this series so far. And the narrators, excellent job. Jacob and Callie narrated Hostile Territory and lets just say that it was way better with the kink. Who knew nerds were so hot?

I read the book and listened to the audio book and thoroughly enjoyed both. Marie is one hell of a storyteller.

Love Puffy Daddy!!!!

I'm an avid reader but loving this audio. The characters become more real for me when I hear there voices. And Puff Daddy is still the favorite I feel he needs his own person to narrate his words.

Shot in the Dark is the second book in the BlackBridge Security series. I enjoyed it and could not put it down. My favorite is still Puff Daddy he is hilarious. While Wren and Whitney chemistry is off the charts hottt. I couldn't wait for Wren's story to see how it would turn out and I was not disappointed. Marie writes with feelings and suck the reader in from the first to the last page. This book highly recommended.

W Nelson?

Story starts off slower than I would normally like but picks up. The usual antics of the men of BBS, and Puff just continues to add to the background.
Narrators do a fabulous job adding lust and feelings to the characters.
Really enjoyed listening to the book.

It all started with a package

What are the odds that he would receive a package that would change his life? Wren couldn’t help but watch Whitney from afar. She fulfilled every fantasy he had and felt absolutely helpless to succumb to the desires that were never far out of reach. Having so much in common was just icing on the cake. Puff Daddy is absolutely hilarious and charming! I never stopped laughing. Marie James definitely has a winner on her hands with all the hot alpha men of Blackbridge Security.
