My Thoughts on Shot in the Dark

I don't think there are enough words to describe how much I loved this book.

Wren and Whitney were amazing. Something about a hot nerdy guy just does it for me. But combine that with a fiesty, independent, nerdy girl and you have one hell of a book that I just couldn't stop listening to. And honestly I didn't want to.

I was that perfect combination of happy and sad when it ended. Happy that I had just experienced one of those amazing books that is a perfect example of why I love reading. And sad that it was over and there were no more words to read.

This book also had so many other elements I loved. Suspense, good friends, funny pets, and even a well intentioned but pushy grandma.

I'm so happy this is only book two in this new series by Marie James because that means I have many more to look forward to and I have not doubts there's more romance gold to come.

I also couldn’t have been more thrilled with these narrators. Jacob Morgan and Callie Dalton slayed again. I only hope this pairing will happen more often.

OMG! Perma Smile!

This was a great listen!! It has everything great story plot, alot of humor that made me laugh out loud, and who knew computer nerd's could be so hot and steamy! Something so hot about the extremely shy and awkward in life turning confident and dominate in the bedroom. Definitely better than the first book! Highly recommend. It was an extremely fun audiobook to listen too.

Another Great One

This is book 2 and another fantastic story! You do not have to read/listen to book 1. Lover series that are stand alone’s but you get little wink of more information from previous couple & a nod to future couples.
Jacob & Callie’s narration is again excellent!! I enjoy them so much.

It’s always the quiet ones…

Holy hot tamale! Here I was thinking that Wren was just a quiet, IT dude! This book cleared that up really quick! Wren has been spying on the hot neighbor in the apartment below him for a while…ok, ever since he accidentally received a package meant for her. When Wren and Whitney finally meet, my ears singe…the chemistry is THAT explosive. I would give away too much if I say more…just trust me that you NEED this story!!

It all started with a package

What are the odds that he would receive a package that would change his life? Wren couldn’t help but watch Whitney from afar. She fulfilled every fantasy he had and felt absolutely helpless to succumb to the desires that were never far out of reach. Having so much in common was just icing on the cake. Puff Daddy is absolutely hilarious and charming! I never stopped laughing. Marie James definitely has a winner on her hands with all the hot alpha men of Blackbridge Security.

I finished the first book in this series yesterday and I couldn’t wait to get started on the next! This book is everything I didn’t know I needed!! 😍😍😍 Holy Hotness!

Whitney & Wren (Puff Daddy & Simon)

I enjoyed the narration (especially that dirty bird Puff Daddy). They did a great job with the narration with this sometimes hysterical story. The more I listened the more I loved this one!

Two hackers...oops I mean IT experts, who aren't very social live in the same apartment building. Another misdelivered box starts it all. Talk about a surprise. Now he just has to figure out how to return a box of bedroom toys to the woman who pushes all his buttons. His job is to find out about people for the security company he works for. This time his online search might not be professional but he needs to know more and man does he find out a bunch.

He arranges a meet online to game and more. It seems they have more in common than game playing. Will they manage to get together in real life? Add the two pets in their lives Puff Daddy (the filthy beaked bird we met in the last book) and a rescue cat that rules with an iron paw gives you a never-a-dull-minute read.

Great characters, the team he works with loves to torment him and teach his bird more. The guys are also loyal and are ready and able to help when danger enters.

Great audio.

Who would have thought....

Meeting Wren in the first Blackbridge Security book I never would have thought he'd be a hot closet Dom. When he discovers Whitney by receiving one of her packages by accident he can't help but to do some cyber stalking and finding a way to meet her. Whitney is basically a hermit, keeping to herself and living off door dash. Trust is a massive thing in her life, when she thinks Wren breaks this she's shattered. Can Wren make it all right and make her see they are meant to be?

I absolutely loved this book and finished it in one day. It kept me laughing and on my toes. Plus you've gotta love Wren's Nana and his African Grey -Puff Daddy!

Kink alike?

"She's too pretty to be a criminal". Out of the beak of an African Grey Parrot, aka Puff Daddy.

I loved this book and this series so far. And the narrators, excellent job. Jacob and Callie narrated Hostile Territory and lets just say that it was way better with the kink. Who knew nerds were so hot?

I read the book and listened to the audio book and thoroughly enjoyed both. Marie is one hell of a storyteller.
