Good intro to leadership from the female perspective

STLAB was a good intro into the core competencies for leadership. It is a succinct book, so don’t expect too many stories or anecdotes, but it’s factual and well-researched which is honestly more important.

Great book. But the ending was weird.

I enjoyed this book as a whole, but at the end, it stated a “bonus chapter, “ and this creepy music started playing.

I thought it would state some affirmations that I could use on a day-to-day basis but instead, she started rambling on about the author's Facebook Group Page and how I should listen to this often.

Again, overall... a great book. But you can leave that so-called bonus chapter out.

Powerful Leadership Wisdom for Women

Bought this for my wife as she was recently promoted to a management position, and while she is incredibly ambitious, doesn't have the most experience in managing groups and delegating tasks. She Thinks Like a Boss clearly lays out all the relevant considerations for women in management positions, whether you are new or have experience, there is valuable insights across the board. Already my wife says she's been able to apply some of the knowledge from this book to her role, and is benefitting from it enormously.

The narrator is steady paced, easy to follow and engaging, and the author is clearly well versed in the subject. Would recommend to any female stepping into a leadership position, or is looking to gain additional insights to fortify her experience.

Wow! Powerfull!

My husband got this for me since I just got a promotion at work. There are great tools for learning how to lead others in this audiobook. Women in the workplace are sometimes viewed poorly when influencing others. The information on how to combat imposter syndrome was EXCELLENT. That's a term I was not familiar with before this book. I highly recommend!

Great resource

This book covers all skills needed to be a successful woman in leadership in this day and age.
I my self struggled with imposter syndrome the most with no tools to defeat it. The fear I had really kept me from moving forward with my goals. Especially when it came to leading my team.
I often felt like a failure at the end of the day, not being able to organize and instruct my team in a productive way.

I appreciate the four-step communication model Jemma provides this was a game changer!
This book is a wonderful resource and a great tool to build your leadership skills and run an efficient team!

Too many quotes from others

Great information but way too many quotes from others in each chapter! Kind of Annoying.

Boss-Man to Boss-Lady 💪

I got this book for my wife as a major reshuffle is due to happen in her workplace and she could be given extra responsibilities. She said this book is helping her and she is re-reading the chapters a few times. Also, I found her taking down notes, the diligent person that she is! That intrigued me and I also listened to it. The book is great! The author Jemma Roedel has written an exceptional book for female executives & managers. The author has extensively researched the topic and has brought out and explained some new topics in a fresh way. Though it is said to be for female bosses, the book is equally good for anyone.

Krista Larson has a great voice and her narration is impressively business-like.

I would recommend this book to all the bosses and everyone who wants to be one, male & female, as this book will open your eyes and make you an effective & responsible manager.

Think Like a Queen

This was highly inspirational and there was lots of information to absorb. It gives you the tools to create your own successful roadmap, as it points out within the audiobook, everybody has to forge their own path to success. I found the tips around improving your mindset and self-confidence very useful, as we as individuals tend to downplay our abilities as leaders within the workplace. The narration was well-paced and highly engaging. I would recommend this to anybody wanting to improve their leadership skills.

Loved the range of valuable insights and action

Some great tips that I had not heard before especially around the words that you use or that you use to ‘fill’ with and the use of words like ‘think’. I have been a boss at quite a high level and it was good to hear many of the issues that have struck me over the years. I haven't taken the time to quantify or describe as well as this and it will really help others (and men too) to realise what they are doing themselves, to themselves (imposter syndrome) as well as how to approach situations. I particularly loved the focus on the importance of the team and some great tools to help from speaking up to negotiation to perfectionism. Great narration and packed with a great range of valuable information that will I will remember to put into action for a long time!
