This book is head and shoulders above any similar book I’ve read or listened to. Super easy ideas to get done very quickly and to see solid qualitative returns.

The motivation of team members is the most important for getting high productivity. I like the author’s 63 essential tactics for taking my team from mediocre to magnificent. It was very easy to learn and use his techniques and strategies.

I really liked the chapter on dealing with resources from other countries and cultures – an extremely important resource in this global world.

Made me skillful

Empathy is a very important skill for leaders and mentors. Just a few leaders are aware of the huge impact that empathy has. Difficult times are the right time to show and use this skill because empathizing with the problems of your team makes it stronger and more powerful.

Most of the tips and tricks he uses I’ve not heard before – he does mention that they are hard won advice through half a lifetime of experience. A good book to start a management career.

After listening to this book I have applied this advice and noticed that I have a better understanding of my teams needs and they are far more productive now.
