Awesome storytelling great narration

I absolutely adore this story. It was real written. It did not have a predictable ending. I wanna find more by this author and listen to it with Abby Craden.

social commentary

the social commentary appears the main point of the story, which sets it apart from other queer hero stories. Unfortunately, there isn't much more to it than that. I did like that, even after getting spicy, the female leads both recognized that their relationship was never going to be more than friends. It's rare to see two leads who don't end up together in the end. And, while I despised Lina at the outset of the story, she underwent an amazing metamorphosis through the story. All in all, it was an okay story, definitely worth a listen if your civic minded, but if what you're looking for is strong romantic tones, this is not the book for you.

Fantastic story

I loved the story and the narration. So much of the story is relevant even if it's set in a different Earth world.

Unexpectedly new ideas

I've never read a book by this author before, and boy am I glad I took the chance. Great ideas. Not rote. Still a happy ending.

As good as I remembered

I read this in book form and I really enjoyed it, but I needed enough time to pass to want a reread in the form of this audio.
It's dark holding up a mirror to humanity, yet manages to end on an optimistic view. I liked it very much.
