Story
A new standalone novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland. The night I met Drew Jagger, he'd just broken into my new Park Avenue office. I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing. Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant. Only, turned out, he wasn't an intruder at all. Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He'd been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.

Donovan and I met at a coffee shop to do the suitcase exchange. Turned out, it wasn’t just his voice that was sexy. The man holding my luggage was absolutely gorgeous, and we had an immediate spark. He got me to admit that I’d snooped in his bag and then convinced me to make it up to him by letting him buy me coffee. Coffee led to dinner, dinner led to dessert, and dessert led to spending an entire weekend together. So what did I do to repay him for his kindness? I waited until he was in the shower, then ghosted him.

The feud between Weston Lockwood and me started at the altar. Only neither of us attended the wedding, and the nuptials happened decades before either of us was born. Our grandfathers had been best friends and business partners, at least up until my grandfather’s wedding day - when his bride-to-be blurted out she couldn’t marry him because she was also in love with Weston‘s grandfather.

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight -- telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.

It started out like any normal day. Then the fender bender happened. The guy I collided with drove an expensive car and was drop-dead gorgeous. Too bad he was also a total jerk. We argued over whose fault it was and any other thing that came out of his condescending mouth. Eventually, the police came and we went our separate ways. The insurance companies would have to figure things out. I had a job interview to get to anyway - one I was excited about. Though that excitement changed to disappointment the moment the person interviewing me walked in. The guy from the accident.

My planned trip for two unexpectedly turned into a trip for one. Rather than let my breakup get me down, I packed my bags and decided a week at a luxury resort was just what I needed. But one calamity after the next, and suddenly I was stuck without a hotel room, along with a few hundred other people. It looked like my fancy vacation was about to turn into me sleeping on the hotel lobby floor. Until I overheard a gorgeous man pretending to be someone he wasn’t in order to steal a reservation from a guest who hadn’t shown up yet.

The first time I met Hudson Rothschild was at a wedding. I’d received an unexpected invitation to one of the swankiest venues in the city. Hudson was a groomsman and quite possibly the most gorgeous man I’d ever laid eyes on. He asked me to dance, and our chemistry was off the charts. I knew it wasn’t a good idea to get involved with him, considering the wedding I was at. But our connection was intense, and I was having a great time. Though the fun came to a screeching halt when Hudson figured out I wasn’t who I’d said I was.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. Bennett Fox walked into my life on one hell of a crappy Monday morning. I was late for the first day at my new job - a job I’d now have to compete for, even though I’d already worked eight years to earn it, because of an unexpected merger. While I lugged my belongings up to my new office, a meter maid wrote me a parking summons. She’d ticketed a long line of cars - except for the Audi parked in front of me, which happened to be the same make and model as mine. Annoyed, I decided to regift my ticket to the car that had evaded a fine.

When I first encountered Ford Donovan, I had no idea who he was...well, other than the obvious. Young, gorgeous, successful, smart. Did I mention young? If I did, it bears repeating. It was just a typical Monday. Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client. After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed. Or so I thought, until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch to. My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance. And that was the good part of my day. Because the gorgeous man who crouched down and looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive was none other than my ex.

Publisher's Summary
From number one New York Times best seller Vi Keeland, comes a new, sexy standalone novel.
My relationship with Hunter Delucia started backwards.
We met at a wedding - him sitting on the groom’s side, me sitting on the bride’s. Stealing glances at each other throughout the night, there was no denying an intense, mutual attraction.
I caught the bouquet; he caught the garter. Hunter held me tightly while we danced and suggested we explore the chemistry sparking between us. His blunt, dirty mouth should’ve turned me off. But for some crazy reason, it had the opposite effect on me.
We ended up back in my hotel room. The next morning, I headed home to New York leaving him behind in California with the wrong number.
I thought about him often, but after my last relationship, I’d sworn off of charming, cocky, gorgeous-as-sin men. A year later, Hunter and I met again at the birth of our friends’ baby. Our attraction hadn't dulled one bit. After a whirlwind trip, he demanded a real phone number this time. So I left him with my mother’s - she could scare away any man with her talks of babies and marriage - and flew back home.
I’d thought it was funny, until the following week when he rang the bell at Mom’s house for Sunday night dinner. The crazy, gorgeous man had won over my mother and taken an eight-week assignment in my city. He proposed we spend that time screwing each other out of our systems.
Eight weeks of mind-blowing sex with no strings attached? What did I have to lose?
Nothing, I thought.
It’s just sex, not love.
But you know what they say about the best laid plans…

WELL.. IF THE NAMES DON'T WOW YOU THE PLOT WILL
With Vi Keeland, Andi Arndt and Sebastian York you know it's going to be good.. but this story wasn't just good it was great.. with a perfectly paced smooth storyline that spanned time before the inevitable (and much anticipated) HEA ending.
No strings Hunter was a drool-worthy, dirty-talking sexy hero who met the 'once burned never again' Natalia and together they had one sexy night together.. but in the morning one wanted more and one was gone.. and it took over a year before they were reunited. Persistence, determination and sizzling chemistry eventually paid off and it made a very nice sweet listen with good banter, fun times, great characters and a good balance of sex, romance and story.
Worth a credit? A great 'sex no strings' sweet sexy plot that spectacularly backfires on both hero and heroine, a charming cocky hero who'll steal your heart, on point dual POV narration.. and YES definitely creditworthy.

Just WOW!!!!!!!
I adore Vi Keeland and her amazing stories... this one hit it out of the ballpark for me. I stayed up all night to finish it since I couldn’t put it down. It was perfect from beginning to end. Hunter is so damn sexy and panty melting hot with his dirty talk and his swoon worthy looks. Not to mentioning all the feels and the emotions he depicts for the people that he loves. The story was sad at times but the ending was just perfect. By the end of the book I felt Hunter and Natalia were actual living people who will live on to live very happy and orgasmic lives together....and that tells me that this book will be one of the best for 2018! Read it you will not regret it!!!!

Five star read!
Loved this book! I've been in a reading slump for a few weeks now and this was just what I needed. A hero with a dirty mouth always puts me in a good mood! Their angst was just enough to where it wasn't annoying. I loved that the heroine called the hero out on his bs. I can't believe this was my first Vi Keeland book. If her others are this good, she's bound to be a one click author for me!

Terrible all around
This might be a very specific micro-genre and maybe it is a good example of that. But if you like a reasonably well written romance, and somehow found yourself here, run. The writing is terrible, with no sense of context at all. Very much has the feel of an editor saying we need this and this and this, and a writer stringing these random things together. It is not sexy-- And it is not even plausible. Leaving aside things like this 32 year old woman having a fifteen year old step-daughter who her love interest becomes immediately cozy with (to all the single moms out there-- if your potential lover's first date is to eagerly watch highschool girls play basketball-- eject immediately). Leave aside that though they supposedly live in Manhattan they describe the most suburban of existences (driving everywhere-- NO ONE DRIVES IN MANHATTAN), trips to the mall (again, not a part of city life). We literally are never told what the woman looks like or what she is wearing, what her surroundings look like. We have very little sense of what her work is although it is so important to her. It is never acknowledged that her ex-husband's betrayal of her was nothing cmopared to his betrayal of his motherless daughter who now has to live with a young stepmother because the dad is in jail. Add to this that the much referred to in blurbs "dirty talk" is him saying "Do you like anal sex, because I'd like to tap that ass." That's just gross, that's not sexy.

Love not Sex
I have been devouring Vi Keeland books for the past few weeks. There is just something about her writing style that satisfies my need for romantic genre reading.
May be some minor spoilers***
So...this one was not one of my favorites. The pacing was off and I wasn't a huge fan of Nat. Also, Hunter worked way too hard to get Nat only to not want to be with her? There was so much effort and so much attitude/negativity from her to endure, for him to give up and be like "that was fun, gotta go". I get it. She had been hurt, men were jerks, and so on. But really? She played way too hard for me. I actually liked the relationship Hunter had with all the other female characters in the book. Even his ex. His character's personality helped me finish the book! He had incredible patience with Nat and I don't know if she deserved him. The epilogue was ok, I guess. She was still kind of meh and I don't know... lacking affection? Hard to pinpoint my disdain for her character. The reveal for his standoffish vibes were way more understandable and meaningful than hers.
But, Andi is amazing! She is one of my favorite narrators. She sounds so normal. Not whiny or breathy. Sebastian is great, too.

Another Great Book by Vi Keeland
When Vi Keeland writes something you know that it's going to be good and this was no exception.
It was a fun, sexy and emotional story with enough angst to make this a pretty much perfect listen.
Andi Arndt and Sebastian York did an amazing job narrating as usual.

Obsessed, I completely full in love with this book and listened to the entire book over 2 days.

Better than the title suggests
Touched on some very sensitive topics, very well written and narrated.
Loved it, definitely worth it.

My fave book in this genre so far.
Women write men to be so much nicer and more thoughtful than REAL men are. This book is total fantasy ... but then i STILL find myself wanting to meet a man like Hunter...I'm ruined now...I hate you Vi Keeland!

Second time around
I have listened to this story twice now and it was just as good as the first time. So glad I have this in my library for when I decide to listen to it for a third time.

unfinished stories
loved the narrators as also one of my faves voices together! 🚨🚨🚨Spoilers don't read ahead if hasn't read!🚨🚨🚨
loved the book wanted more to be honest felt rushed should of been longer. A few
unfinished stories,
1. What happened with summer there so much more story to that?
2. the ex husband situation doubt that would of been so easy to get away from
3. Isabella and her dad situation how did she manage to get her tp stay half time etc
