Sometimes I’d email him to express my aggravation and disdain.

He’d actually rewrite my own words and send them back to me.

That was the type of infuriating person Caleb was.

So frustrating.

And...

Sometimes incredibly funny and endearingly sweet.

And hot.

He eventually grew on me, and Caleb soon became one of my best friends that year.

Too bad he was headed back to England soon, so nothing could happen between us - for so many reasons.

I definitely couldn't fall in love with him, especially since all we had was just one year.

Loved it

This was the first time reading a book by Penelope Ward and I am impressed. This is a great story about how love can help you heal. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait to read my next book. ❤️

Actually made me cry.

This story moved me. you could feel the love between these two. The building of emotions was well done. I only wish the guys parts were read by Shane and all the girls parts were read by Andi.

These ladies know how to give you just what you need when you really need it!! This was a lovely story. I loved every minute of it. Great job again, this will be a double listen for me!

Love the British Accent

I am in love with Shane East. His voice is perfection. Andi Arndt is terrific, so together they make a story explode thru my headset. Anyway, this is an adorable love story.

This story was mature for a YA story. The characters were "real", the problems felt real and the whole book unfolded in a manner that was both entertaining and enjoyable. The narration was excellent. How can you go wrong with Andi Arndt and Shane East?!

Fantastic performances of beautifully woven words!

Just finished this read, mostly in 1 sitting today. Wow! Just, Wow! I giggled and then cried tears of sadness, tears of joy, and had all the feels in between. The characters are beautifully flawed and grow with time to understand themselves and the people around them better. It's a beautiful story of loss, self doubt, sacrifice, and falling in love even know when you know there is a time limit on it. I loved every word!

I listened on audible. Shane & Andi are 2 of my favorite narrators - with absolutely well-deserved good reason. Fantastic emotionally charged performances bring out the humor, sadness, pain, lust, and love in a way that you simply cannot experience any other way. I would highly recommend this audiobook - Well worth the credit!

I have roughly +250 books in my audible library. Romance junkie here. I have yet to write a review until now. Wow wow wow. I’m so glad I got this book. After weeks of scanning available books I finally picked this one and I am totally satisfied. HEA but realistic with the sweetest ending. Loved how they grew apart and together. A bit of angst but just enough. I especially liked that the characters were from normal backgrounds because it made it easier to relate. My favorite love story … Seriously! 😉

This is a beautiful love story between a British exchanged student and the daughter of the host family. It has all the feels - smiles, tears, hate, and empathy. Penelope Ward did a great job in writing this book and choosing the right narrators to read for us. Love, love, love the British accent (of course, I’m talking about Shane East!), and the fabulous And Arndt!
Definitely worth the credit!
