From New York Times & USA Today Bestseller, Vi Keeland, comes a steamy new romance novel. The rules: No dating. No sex outside of the game. No disclosing the terms of the contract. Rules were made to be broken, right? Eight weeks ago I signed a contract. One that seemed like a good idea at the time. A handsome bachelor, luxury accommodations, and a chance to win a prize my family desperately needed. There were some rules though. Lots of them actually. Follow the script, no dating, sex, or disclosing the terms of the deal. After my self-imposed moratorium on men the last year, it wouldn’t be hard to live up to my end of the bargain…so I thought. Until I realized the deal I’d made was with the devil…and I was in love with his dirty-talking brother.

Author's note – Throb is a full-length standalone novel.

Dear Audible and every other company that produces these books on tape... be careful who you choose to read your books. Sebastian York is a 5 no matter what he reads, he is truly amazing. But, Molly Glenmore could not have been a worse choice. I could not take the raspiness in her voice one minute, leveling off to a normal voice and then diving into an altogether awful pitchy voice that drive me nuts. I wanted to return the book based only on this - please be mindful of whom you choose to read your books!! Again, anything Sebastian York reads is amazing. This book was okay, but not my favorite. Felt uneven and incomplete - yes it's a full story but it seemed like there were too many parts left unfinished or unaddressed.

Narration is key....

The story was fabulous, but as always Sebastian York makes this audiobook come alive with intense longing for Kate!!
He is such a sexy voice that makes Cooper swoon worthy!

Sebastian York ! Yummiest narrator ever!

What did you love best about Throb?

I LOVE Sebastian York, so of course his narration is my favorite part of the Throb audiobook. I've never read a book by Vi Keeland before, but I really enjoyed Throb. It was easy to follow, had great characters, and the story was unique and fun. If you're a fan of The Bachelor, I highly recommend giving this book a try. I liked the little forbidden aspect to the story, since Kate, as a contestant on the reality TV show, can't be with anyone during that time, but Kate and Cooper make their way around that rule ;)

Who was your favorite character and why?

I adored the hero, Cooper. He's sexy and alpha and domineering, but also sweet and tender to Kate. He falls for her deep and hard, so it's hard not to love the way he loves Kate and takes care of her and her family. Kate was also a good heroine – she's likable and cares so much for her family. They were two characters with hot chemistry and I was rooting for them from the beginning.

Which character – as performed by Sebastian York and Molly Glenmore – was your favorite?

Definitely Sebastian York – his voice is just so nice and dreamy to listen to! I really liked Molly Glenmore's voice too, though it took me a bit in the beginning to warm up to it. I really liked how she narrated the male dialogue though.

Any additional comments?

Throb overall is an enjoyable, sexy book with great narrators. I'm hoping the sequel, Beat, will also be available as an audiobook!

A sexy, enjoyable book with great narration

I wasn’t able to finish this story. Here I am at chapter 26 and I still don’t really care about these characters. The premise of this story is ridiculous. No possessive man will go along with this situation. A true romantic heroine will not lead on one man while being with another.

This author has had my attention after the last few books, but I am disappointed that I didn’t fully love this book. I’m not sure exactly what it was about the story that I found missing, but it was missing something. It could be because it was a little too predictable even though there were things I didn’t expect. It could of been that at times the story felt a little choppy to me and things were missing. I love the concept of the storyline that has reality tv, but there were things that didn’t add up to me or seem to work. It was at time, I felt the story was rushed and confusing and missing things and then add in the narration that I struggled with. I may be in the minority here but the male narrator, while he has a great voice, he voice just is a big struggle for the age of the characters. It makes it difficult to visualize the story. The story does have some great laughs and a few times of frustration, but it hasn’t left me into wanting to jump into the next book in the series. I’ll listen to it eventually as I am interested to see what happens to this particular character and if he will have a Happily Ever After, but it is not on the top of my To Be Read list.

Disappointed with this one
