As time went on though, I started to notice things about Fox other than his glares. Like how he watched me when he thought I wasn’t looking, or how fire ignited in his eyes whenever we bickered. Though I was in Laurel Lake to escape my problems, not create new ones. And getting involved with a man like Fox screamed trouble, even if he was gorgeous and unlike any man I’d ever met.

But alas, problem seemed to be my middle name this year. So why not have some fun while I was here for the summer? It seemed like a good plan. At least until it was time to go home…

They say what happens at the lake, stays at the lake. But it’s not so easy to walk away when what stays behind…is your heart.

I l loved how the female character is written with such independence in moving away from the known to the unknown of a new city. And learning to renovate her house with not giving up learning because it was hard. Love the male character he respected her grit and backed off when she asked him to

Fun Listen couldn’t put it down

I love this author and her witty storytelling. Best duet narrator with Andi and Sebastian. Love how she made a small town about acceptance and not ridicule.

Such a cute listen

Loved this feel-good, sweet story. Narrators were perfect, as usual. I giggled a few times and just loved the book from beginning to end. All characters were perfect.

I would have liked to have heard a little more about Evie’s death. How did she die in the lake, how much Alcohol did she have that night.
