First came the plague, then came the war.
When the guns went silent and the last bombs were dropped, billions were lost and the world had become unrecognizable.
Nine years later, Reid Flynn and his eight-year-old daughter, Hannah, live a protected life behind the walls and rules of their small hamlet, Deliverance. Life is hard there but safe...or so Reid thought, until Hannah showed the first symptoms of the plague.
Once someone was symptomatic with the plague, they'd die in a week's time. With the clock ticking and only the rumor of a cure a thousand miles away, Reid must leave with Hannah in hopes that he'll find the cure before the end of the seventh day.

As for the book overall, another reviewer likened this book to a marriage between Alas Babylon and The Beach. I've read both and would have to agree, mostly. Like those books, Seven Days caught my attention from the very beginning and kept it all the way to an ending that, unlike most books, is not all rainbows and sunshine. Unlike The Beach, however, it's not all sadness and destruction, even though I was sure at one point that that was where this was headed (whew!)
The narration was awesome. The narrator wasn't the best with different voices but he did enough to make it clear which character was speaking (mostly). His timing and phrasing and overall performance were very nicely done, though, leading to a very enjoyable listen.
Make sure to listen until the VERY end.
