Another great book by Cebelius. You will not be disappointed. Also the dual narration really brings the story to life.

Excellent continuation of a great series 

This book continues a series that I have been reading on and off for the last couple of years. The best thing about it is you can read these books on their own or as part of the series. This has been one of my favorite books due to the MC with his own fatal flawsboth physically and mentally. Great action, well written, dialogue and several villains make this a book that most people will really enjoy.

loving this world cebelius has created with everyone in it can't wait to hear more of the story the dual narrators did an excellent job as with the other books

Enjoyable

One of the most enjoyable things about this series is how minor characters come back as protagonists in subsequent stories.

Terrified of snakes but I love Selena!

I love this series and I can tell it's building to something big and I love that. However this book and the one before it felt weaker than the first two installments. More world building took place than developing the relationship. I almost feel like James and Selena need a part 2. If you love the series like I do this book is excellent with the above caveat. If you are on the fence about this series I don't think this book will win you over though.

Next installment in this series keeps the story so interesting.

I was hooked on this story more than any other in the series. I loved the pacing and was always wondering what was gonna happen next. Read the book in print in 2 days and couldn't wait to binge it on audio when it came out.

This series is fantastic.

Cebelius is better than I thought in all of the best ways.

I liked the story. I liked it a great deal more than I expected. I love Velise, but this is very good in its own way. Selena is a dynamic character even if her motivations lean towards the basics of a hopeless romantic. She has a believable sense of age and experience due to the world building in previous books. I found myself laughing at her boldness later on. I’m completely floored that the author thought so much about how Selena would operate and interact with James. I mean that in all ways. Simply amazing. I’m interested in more of Cebelius. Time to look through the tomes of the written.

Cebelius can do no wrong

I absolutely love the interactions of this series. They are intricate, fun, deeply personal. It’s never a simple hey let’s have sex but always a slow burn with its own unique hang ups. And the overarching story is slowly building to a very interesting clash. Everytime I finish one I ache for a new book.
