Great Adventure story

Story is action packed and drama filled with plenty of twisting plot lines to keep it interesting. I only wish there was more.

definitely not a smut story but as that element

the best way to sum this book up is the entire Diablo video game series in literary form with some pussy on the side. there are some descriptions that are ridiculously long-winded in this book. I mean 20 minutes of describing what the morning Forest looks like.

Boring

I went off 1 five star rating and 5 minute preview. I only finished it because I paid for it. My God the longest time 72 hours of my life.

male performer

I love the male performers voices, but I feel like the deep intakes of breath every few words just pull me out of the story so violently that they needed to be edited out before publishing the audiobook. I had to stop listening and will probably end up buying the non audio version to read instead since the constant sharp breaths are so disorienting.

Good narration terrible plot.

This book has an amazing concept but it contradicts itself, leaves power imbalances and loopholes and a barren plot. There's hardly anything that holds true in this book at all. Everyone is corruptible unless you were born lucky or have a grand power of will. Most people's decisions, horrid as they are can't even be blamed on them because they were corrupted by the big bad. Listening to this book made me feel as if there wasn't any kind of ability of choice. Suffer and die, or allow babies to be tortured and innocent people to be ground into sacrifices for some god that showed up (which I'm sure is story relevant as far as I've made it, book 2). The heroes don't feel like heroes and often watch others die, but they feel bad, but they're super powerful and *could* stop it they just can't right now because of reasons. I'm officially not going to listen to the rest and I suggest you don't even start.
