Publisher's Summary

Avery Nelson never imagined she’d find herself a hostage in Afghanistan. She isn’t the kind of woman to sit in a corner and cry, but she can’t deny it’s a welcome relief when the Navy SEAL she’s secretly been crushing on back in California suddenly appears to help her out.

Cole “Rex” Kingston has saved his fair share of women over his time as a SEAL, but no mission has ever seemed as important as the one to find nurse Avery Nelson. Digging the woman out of the rubble of a mountainside in Afghanistan hammered home to them both how short life is and they waste no time in acting on their attraction.

But someone isn’t happy that Avery didn’t die while overseas and will do whatever it takes to make sure she doesn’t live to talk about what she might’ve heard and seen while deployed.

Securing Avery is the fifth book in the SEAL of Protection: Legacy Series. Each book is a standalone, with no cliffhanger endings.

My least favorite narrator

The book is true Susan, strong hero and heroine, story fast paced an exciting, familiar characters from other books (love me some Tex:) ), and the expected thrilling finale and HEA. And I know savanna Peachwood is a popular narrator, since many of my other favorite books and authors have had their readings spoiled by her, and I also admit that not everyone would feel as I do. I just find her voice extremely grating And distracting. Really missing Stella Bloom and Aaron melon

Avery and Rex Intriguing!

Avery and Rex(Cole) have been flirting prior to this situation and when Rex’s team is called in for a rescue the journey begins. Savannah Peachwood does a great narration of a well written Susan Stoker story. The journey is not without challenges and Savanna Peachwood excels in bringing both to life. I loved the development of this relationship. Keep them coming!

Another Great Addition

I love all of Susan Stoker’s books some more than others but all of them pull you into the story and take you away from reality and make you feel good . I can’t wait for Phantom and KaleeS story been waiting since Piper and Aces book.

Start with Amy of Susan’s series and after the first one you will be hooked.

Securing Avery

Savannah Peachwood is so perfect to narrator this book.

WOW... each book in this series just gets better and better.

Avery is a Navy Nurse who is deployed before Rex builds up the courage to ask her out. Avery is kidnapped and instead of siting back , she is just about to free herself when Rex and Phantom find her ..... and that is just a small part of this brilliant story. We have one kickass nurse but strong and loyal Seals. I loved the fact we got to know Phantom and so look forward to his story. Just brilliant.

Excellent, as usual!

This is Avery and Rex's story. I love the way Susan Stoker can make you believe in her characters right from the first page. This audio book was narrated by Savannah Peachwood whose voice I find brings the story to life! Just got to wait for the next one now!

so love Susan's overseas ops

I headed away from susan for awhile as I preferred overseas plotlines and we were turning local.
but after listening to riley edwards "Declan" who talked of Avery and her being kidnapped. I had to swing back to Susan's book and listen. now I'm hooked again and I need to see phantom get his ever after.
loved the pace and the steam, although short was in susan stoker style.
loved the strong heroine and how our alphas appreciated her for that.
it was a bit of insta lust meets stockholm syndrome...but is saved by the fact that they were crushing on eachother for months prior.
need to see how phantom goes now with Kalee.
I love Stella bloom and have listened to so many stories with her narration but I have to lean toward Savannah. her male voice inflections are so much more passable, more so than Stella.
I needed the break from Stella especially as she narrated Anna Hacketts Team 52, which I listened to.
fantastic story susan 👏 💜💜😊
