I just love mafia romance

I’ve been desperate for Tijan to write more mafia romance, and here we are. Finally. Canary it is. Note though. This is not a pretty mafia romance. It’s very much a gritty mafia drama with a side of romance. I flipping loved it. I listened to the audio version, and CJ Bloom was superb as ‘Ashley’. Then we have Raiz, our mafia frontman, narrated by Connor Crais (a new to me narrator), who was so perfect in the role, he made me believe he was actual mafia. The story of course had a few twists and turns, lots of action (and violence), betrayal and romance. Ashley was the perfect girl with attitude and I loved the fact that she was straight up and honest about herself. No holds barred. I was hooked. Loved it.

Give me more!!

I am beyond thrilled that I found Tijan! This book was awesome! So much story and the best escape to listen too! I need more! I love Ash, and Reyes! The rest are great too but they capture the heart! Mafia stories take note, Tijan has won the award for best from me! Read, listen or do both because you will not be let down!

mafia romance heaven

I absolutely loved this story its on my top 5 of the mafia novels I read or listen to. The narrator's did an excellent job. The best part was them coming to terms with their new situations as they unfolded and finding out her story along the way.

Mafia/Cartel Story!!

Canary is not your typical dark mafia romance. With pebbly mafia taking the front seat with romance pushed to the back seat. Ashley's character growth and complexity of her character was well showcased and I really liked her character. I liked the concept behind the theory of Canary and what it represents. Bloodbath, bullets flying, danger, and suspense all in layers entwined into the storyline. Revealed secrets weaved through the characters romance The intriguing epilogue was the cherry on top of the cake.

CJ Bloom, Connor Crais dual narration was excellent. The narration enhanced the story. Both narrators inflections are very good and easy to listen to.

Having first picked this story up when it released i've been looking forward to experiencing it again in this new way! I started listening to it as soon as i could and got right into this audiobook. I enjoyed it so very much!

Having listened to both CJ Bloom and Connor Crais before i was so happy when i found out these two were going to be narrating Canary! CJ hooked me quickly and so did Connor! From the darkness to the suspense and feels, i thoroughly enjoyed what these two brought to the story as our heroine and hero.

This journey isn't an easy one. As our heroine and hero's worlds collide, will it end in ruin?

I really liked how quickly i got right back into this story and getting to experience it again in this new way. This story and it's characters kept me on my toes throughout this listen, waiting to see everything unfold. I loved that i went through all kinds of emotions with these characters. There was a uniqueness to this story from the characters to the darkness that i really enjoyed.

With Canary, Tijan has created such a good and dark mafia story that was different and had me feeling so much! From the story to the narration, this listen is one you won't want to turn away from!

great story

the narrator was very breathy at times....a little weird. my only complaint. the story was great otherwise. I always get lost in tijans books!

Mafia Romance....swoon

I cannot say anything bad about any Tijan book. I love Mafia Romance for the suspense, and then when you add the romance element. In the beginning Ash was a bit annoying but that was turned around and she kind of became a bad a** especially if you messed with her dog, I love her and Ray's relationship how it developed and just the overall development of the story. Tijan can really do no wrong as far as i am concerned.

Excellent narrators. Unexpected story!

Excellent choice of narrators. They did a great job. Many unexpected twists and turns. This book is fresh and not just like the one I read before!
