Excellent Survival info.

Written from a Navy SEAL perspective, this book is jam-packed with useful, practical survival information. It covers a broad range of plausible scenarios, and offers helpful suggestions on how to prepare, prevent, and cope with any number of disasters that may occur. It is truly remarkable how much information there is to be had.

The 'Survival Guide' is written and read in a concise and interesting way, and carries with it a feeling of being genuine and trustworthy. It is a great book in this field!

Good "survival non-fiction".

A useful guide about surviving anything.

Where does Seal Survival Guide rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is a special case since it's purpose is to educate and be a resource rather than to entertain its reader/listener. On that note, very, very useful. I recommend this to anyone. Survival situations are never planned, and after reading this it is interesting how much the average person doesn't know about basic survival.

What did you like best about this story?

The survival insights were interesting to learn about.

What does R. C. Bray bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He has a great voice. Plus, his acting made (what would normally be dry) the book entertaining.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. Too long, and it's not that kind of book.

Even a Soldier

Even as an old Soldier and long time prepper, I learned a thing or two in this book. If you're not in the military you should gain a great deal from it. I gave it 4 out of five stars only because the author steps way outside what I would consider plausible survival scenarios. That said, it was fun to consider and allowed my mind to play a mental movie about each different environment he places the reader. Some of the environments, such as the desert, I've been fortunate enough to experience already and am here to say, that shit is no joke.

Practical with some anecdotes

Written as a field manual with some narrative anecdotal stories. For anyone that has served in the Army, it would be a bit basic. It is practical though, not one of these extremist apocalyptic narratives. He deals in real life and more probable disasters.

Great information

This was a really great book and I learned quite a bit even though I am used to camping, shooting, have taken first aid, etc. The only downside is that, with the audio book, you don't get any pictures or diagrams that I would assume the paper version would include. Not a bad listen but it can get a little rough to just straight power through. I broke it up over a week with several other books. Of course I do this with pretty much all my listening and reading so maybe that isn't saying anything... Worth your time and worth having a paper copy to go on the shelf for future reference.
