Fabulous finish to this series

I was so happy with this book. The storyline and emotions were so well performed and the narrators did a phenomenal job.

I fitting end to Marcus, Teriana, Lydia, and Killian. Could not stop listening. Just so, so good.

Enter another world

I’ve read Danielle Jenson before and she is a great author. This series was exquisite. I entered her world and felt frustration, hope, fear, intrigue, joy and tears. I wasn’t sure I could listen to the end, chest tight and begging please no. When an author can take me so deeply into a new world and have me vested in the characters, have me holding my breath wondering what will happen next, I consider that to be great writing. Part of me would love more books to see what happens as the characters move on, the other part is grateful I got to spend time in that world and that is enough. Thank you Danielle Jensen.

The Story Line

I was disappointed with the change of the male voices in the last book. You kind of build relationships with them as you dive into the stories. It felt like a forever wait for the final story to come alive but it DID NOT DISAPPOINT, it was a thrilling journey of war, love, and all the things in between. The story was well told and some much detail was put into each page.

Absolutely loved it! Sad it's over, but it all ended perfectly! Definitely worth the listen.

Masterpiece

This series has been some of the best books I have ever read. There is so many twist and turns. The character growth is incredible. I have read them all twice besides the last book which I just finished. It will make you mad and weep all at the same time. I found myself prolonging the end of the book because in some ways I didn’t want it to end and the other fear in how it was going to end.

Best ending to the series I could have asked for

This book and series is absolutely fantastic! I love the depth of the characters and the world. Danielle L Jensen has hooked me as a reader for all of her books as this is my 3rd series I’ve read of hers. The performance of this book was also great! It took me a bit to get used to the new actor for Killian but 5 star performance regardless. There are definitely multiple rereads or rather re-listens for this book/series that will happen- it is THAT good.

Exceptional

Brilliant writing. Good plot. Incredibly well developed characters (even Lydia who has driven me nuts this whole series). Man this author sure knows how to tell a story. I am so sad to see this series conclude. Now we need a spin off of my favorite characters Agripa and Malahi!

So so good! It has all the things!

I have read a lot of good series in the past year, but this one is sooooo good! It looks like it would be about pirates, but that's not it at all. It has all the things: enemies to lovers, political machinations, good vs. evil, explorations of morality and what truly motivates people, oppression and rebellion, Roman- like military culture, supernatural powers, and really good world building.
Also good narration with 2-4 different narrators. It's 4.5 books (I haven't read the .5 prequel... Probably good, but not essential) and am about 12 hours from the end of the last one. It's probably 75 to 80 hours total, so not really that long, comparatively to some. The pacing is really good, too. I listen at 1.2x and have not felt much of a lull the whole time. Its all I can do to put this last book "down" today! 😆

Loved it

This was an amazing conclusion to the series I fell in love with. I enjoyed it so much that I’m sad it is over! The narrators were perfect I loved them all. They did such a great job. There was so much suspense throughout, with vivid detail, and attention to the raw emotions; I felt I was living it with them. Amazing series! My favorite!!
