Publisher's summary
It's barely a few months since the shambling dead began to rise. Now nine people are trapped in an English country house together by the zombie horde outside. There's a journalist, a student, a professor, a surgeon, a housekeeper, a math teacher, a bank clerk, a taciturn Scotswoman, and a celebrity actor. They're strangers to each other. There'd be no reason for any of them to harm the others. And yet...before their first night in the house is done, one of them will be dead, and it will be clear to the others that among their number is a murderer.
Set in the universe of the worldwide best-selling app Zombies, Run!, this is a murder mystery like no other. Why would anyone still want to kill a fellow human, even after the zombie apocalypse? And having started, how can they be stopped? The desire for vengeance, after all, is the way of all flesh.

The plane is jam-packed. Every seat is taken. So of course the flight is delayed! Flight attendant Allegra Patel likes her job—she’s generally happy with her life, even if she can’t figure out why she hooks up with a man she barely speaks to—but today is her twenty-eighth birthday. She can think of plenty of things she’d rather be doing than placating a bunch of grumpy passengers.

Story
Kidnappers grabbed Jenna in broad daylight, right in front of her children and their horrified classmates. Her family was issued an insane ransom demand: $25 million in cash and jewels, payable by the end of the school day, otherwise they’ll never see her again. As Jenna’s mother scrambles to gather the money, detectives Mo Butler and George Ortega follow the trail of the kidnappers, which will lead them through a sordid landscape of jealous lovers, broken dreamers, and twisted schemers. But every second counts, and there’s one thing Jenna Wade doesn’t have: very much time.

Which character – as performed by full cast – was your favorite?
Sam is forever my love, but Jodie?runner 3? the main chick from able was super good and she made me smile alot
Any additional comments?
an engaging story and an interesting change to hear it on a car trip instead of while running. would be interested in other audiobooks of zombies run, though of course i'll be back and running with the app within days.

If you love Zombies, Run! you will love this
If you haven't used the app you won't get a lot of the references. This story is so much better if you have passed season 5 of the main story, so much foreshadowing!
The murder mystery is pretty basic but it is so much fun especially if you know the characters.

Fantastic
If I could give this audio production a 7/5 stars, I would! This is an amazing story. The pacing is good, the inside jokes are good, the characters are vivid and real - this seems like a thing that could actually have happened, and that's fantastic. I LOVE IT.

Excellent story of ZR!
Being a huge fan of Zombies, Run! And basically running nearly every day to listen to the missions, I was extremely excited to stumble onto this audio book!
The story was entertaining and engaging (who doesn’t love a “who dunnit?”) and the performances were amazing as usual! (I don’t expect anything less from Sts. You’re all just that good!)
I love how this is its own story, but still somewhat ties into the overall story of ZR. It just shows how great the writing is. And it was nice to hear more from Chris McShell and Jody Marsh!

Zombie Version of Clue
Who done it?
This story is similar to clue except based in the zombie apocalypse. A group of seemingly random people end up hiding out in a very large house. Someone is murdered and they have to figure out who the killer is meanwhile, there are zombies outside trying to overrun the house. Can they figure out who the killer is and escape with their lives?
I really enjoyed the story, but took one star off because the story is mostly told through a series of recordings and radio broadcast. At times, the sound quality is poor and there’s a lot of static. Also, you will periodically hear the rewinding of a recording which makes an annoying sound. The noises and poor sound quality due to the recordings gets to be a little annoying. Overall though, I really enjoyed this story and it was worth the $3.99 I paid during a sale. Note the listening time - it’s not very long.
