one major battle behind them, Kane and his small fighting party have to fight for control over the rebel base. But it never simple when Blair is causing problems.

its a great series

loved it i advise you give it a go. I'm on book 3 they are quick listens

A Science fiction need to listen to!!!!

The storyline and narration keeps you wanting to hear more! I have 12 -15 stops on my route a day. I’ve been listening to this series since book 1. Great narration!!!!! I’ve back the truck in after along day and wait 10 minutes for the end of a chapter! Finished 2 working on the 3rd! Thumbs up !!!!

very good

i love the narrator very funny and nails the sarcastic tone of main character. story is good too but I'm kind of biased because I love anything to do with science fiction and space battles.

Good Enough to Keep Going

The story is still interesting enough to keep listening. Greg Tremblay does a very good job reading. He has a good selection of characters in his repertoire. However, he does tend to run them together sometimes. Still, a good neratior, and easy to listen to. I like Bobby Adair's writing style. He does a decent job of action and character building. From the characters point of view I would say the entire story is action. But space is big and sometimes those actions take a while. During that time I think he does a pretty good job of getting to know the characters better. I'll keep listening.

Slow but full of substance

This isn’t as full of action as book one but well worth a listen. The downtime in the military is when you build connections with your shipmates and makes you want to fight for them. Adair is a fantastic story teller and uses book two to character build, bring some relationships together and others to build tension to fracture. This isn’t a hard sci-fi book but keeps plenty enough to whet my appetite. Tremblay continues to impress me, I’ll be following him more. If you liked the first one, I’d suggest you stay the course.

Criticism fairness: The books are short. As a stand alone I’d be a little upset spending a credit on 6 hours. Pair them off and I’d love every minute of it.

superb story! packed with action lots of stress.

totally gives you cliffhangers all the way through. the childhood stories they tell each other are nightmarish. this is the second book, the books are on sale in a package for all five books. I haven't listened to the last three but so far it's a superb story!

the story picks up...

honestly, when I started book 1 it took me a few chapters to get into it... now, it's a damn good sci-fi adventure

Not for everyone

It's very slow moving but hey its free so I can't complain I enjoyed it
