Legend of the galactic heroes is truly a masterpiece, no book alike can match it’s great story.

it's a shame they only did the first three

this is a really fun way to enjoy the series. I believe the reader was very suitable.

Amazing series -- limited by lack of audio books

If you have gotten this far into the Legend of the Galactic Heroes series by listening to the audio books, consider yourself warned: there are no audio books for volume 4-8. At least not yet. And this is a huge problem because this series is amazing.

Yes, of course you can still read the book on kindle, etc. However, if you're listening to the audio book version there's probably a good reason for that and reading it on the kindle doesn't really fix the problem of books 4-8 being unavailable.

Considering that the audio book for vol. 3 was released in Nov. 2016, there's no reason (logistically) why the other books shouldn't also be available... but that is not the case. Tim Gerard Reynolds is still narrating. Simon & Schuster Audio is still publishing.

And yet, Legend of the Galactic Heroes ends at volume three.

Please continue this series on audio. It is a fantastic series with engaging characters, interesting subplots, political maneuverings and manipulations, etc. etc. This is a gem of a story and it is worth continuing.

SIDE NOTE: Yes, this series is available as an anime. It's not the easiest to find and was done in the 80s, but the anime did a decent job following the plot of the books. If you don't mind reading subtitles, I suggest you check it out.

The best scifi series i have ever read.

This is so much more than fiction. This book is a book of ideas, ideologies, philosophy, strategy, and character. It has so many lessons ready to teach the reader willing to learn and damn does it make the process exciting.

Another excellent continuation of the series

The author's writing skills are still very much at a tier 1 level in that he continues to take care in providing interesting situations to a large number of characters, including those who play minor roles, as was the case with Yang's academy friend's loss of life and that of his friend's betrothed in her follow-on role as an anti-war organizer. Also, the dichotomy of Yang's general anti-war views and then his determination when pressed to defeat the enemy with large losses in life is not lost on me. It is this type of drama and bemusement that makes for interesting story telling and Yoshiki Tanaka does it quite well. Couple that with Tim Gerard Reynolds superb narrating performance and it made for another hard-to-put-down listening pleasure.

Audio books. For this story series.
My fellow love with the enemy show and I fell in love with a novels. Unfortunately this is the last audio book Of this time Writing this review. Hopefully in the future they make more audio books
