A TRUE DELIGHT

If you are a fan of the anime, then you will LOVE this book. I am so, so, so grateful that Lisa Ortiz revisits her role as Lina Inverse and narrated this book. It is such a treat to hear her. She knocks it out of the park with her performance. The book is a mix of comedy, fantasy, and adventure. It's definitely accessible to listeners who've never seen the anime.

A great buy for long time Slayers fans and new

I have always wanted to read the Slayers novels that the anime was based on and had to buy this audiobook as soon as I saw it was out.

If you are familiar with the anime then the story will be very familiar to you , the anime was surprisingly faithful for the most part. The story being told from Lina's Point of View adds a lot to it though as you get some more world building the anime never provided.

Lisa Ortiz returning to voice Lina was amazing and her performance throughout the book made it a pleasure to listen to.

I hope this does well because I would love to listen to all the light novels, specials and all, someday.

Truly Amazing!

Earlier this year I discovered that one my favorite animated series from when I was younger was based on a series of books. Of course I tracked those down and started reading them. Then, last week I discovered that the first book was just released as an audiobook. The best news is that Lisa Ortiz, the voice actor who played the main character in the series, is narrating. So, yeah, it was a foregone conclusion that I was going to love this. The only negative is that I now have to wait and see if/when the rest of the series is released as audiobooks.

if you love The Slayers and Lisa Ortiz dub... this i somehow just as fun, and enjoyable as the show. i was a bit skeptical about Slayers audio book but its was such a great time, i really dont have any complaints. minus i wish volume 2 was out! absolute must buy for fans of dub.

Great Performance!

Lisa Ortiz absolutely slays with her acting. Every character is unique and Lina’s narration and sound effects are a joy. I also like the magic system.
