When the body of a fast-living young stockbroker is found in a shallow grave, suspicion first falls on a cuckolded policeman. Lieutenant Joe Gunther investigates the increasingly bizarre details of the crime, but he's too far behind events to prevent a second murder. I'm enjoying the Joe Gunther series. The narrator portrays Gunther perfectly. I'm a New Englander, so I can appreciate all the description and landmarks.
The stories are quite detailed. If you don't like reads with alot of details. Then this series may not be for you...

Another intriguing mystery by Archer Mayor. More than a little unbelievable but a fun and exciting listen nonetheless.

Could not stop listening. Mayor is a truly gifted writer. Taylorson is an absolute wizard voice actor. The details of the story, plot, narrative and sidebars are exceptionally well done and backed by obvious impressive research. Hint: pay attention there are a lot of names and possibilities leading up to a fine finale. so glad there are 30 more... 👍👍

I love Bosch but if i had met Joe first Bosch wouldn’t have had a chance. Proof that an “imperfect” character doesn’t have to be hated to be hung ho. And the twists never stop coming. Tom Taylorson is quickly becoming a favorite narrator as well. Finally a series worthy of re-listens.
