Publisher's summary

A fresh, vibrant voice combines a variety of proven therapeutic, well-being, and spiritual techniques to coach listeners into knowing, embodying, and living their personal truth fully and joyfully—no matter what

When rising wellness star Vasavi Kumar talks about “saying it out loud,” she means it literally. After years of trying journaling, because she’d heard it was a great way to learn about herself, change bad habits, and set and meet goals, Kumar found that it wasn’t working for her. What did was talking to herself, aloud and with the compassion of a best friend. Kumar also learned that all the outside expert guidance in the world was no substitute for finding ways of tuning in to her truest inner self, hearing that self’s guidance and wisdom, and then living it with courage and empathy.

A trained life coach and licensed therapist, Kumar here shows listeners exactly what she means, including how to:

• tackle toxic thoughts by speaking them aloud, which can almost instantly reveal their fraudulence

• fearlessly assess the decision-making processes that have led them to where they are today

• implement daily actions that build self-esteem and allow them to walk their talk

• move beyond any debilitating past experiences and create a real and meaningful future

• ask for and receive true help and guidance when needed

• unabashedly speak their needs to others

Kumar came to her self-understanding and fulfillment through trial, error, and struggle, after fitting in nowhere as the daughter of Indian immigrants and journeying through a bipolar diagnosis, substance abuse, and recovery. As Kumar here shows, speaking out loud will shake up your life, your world, and your future—for the better.

A relief to read/hear a poc neurodivers perspective

I found my way to this book in search of a way to somehow make my life better. In many ways, as a female neurodivers ethnic minority with ADHD and Bipolar disorder in a danish context, I find myself plasteret with stigma, negative attitudes and unrealistic expectations. Vasavi Kumar talks to different sides of me, the side of me fighting, the sides of me that feel defeated and the softer side of me which, for myself, often is numbed out. This book has been helpful in ways to making me aware of negative self talk and how I choose to speak up for my self and show up in the world.
Thank you Vasavi Kumar, for your work and dedication.

Fantastic encouragement

This book this book spoke to me in so many ways that I have lost count. It helped me to understand that I need to say it out loud way more often than I do. It also helped me to understand who I am.

Vasavi’s book is a map to the megaphone attached to your trapped soul.

Inside a 12-step journey to find the courage to get on the stage of being you.

You’re the star hidden like a chewed-out 0.25 cent peppermint gum left under a 92” middle school auditorium metal chair trying to get unstuck...

But people kept sitting on you.
Time to stand up, stand out, speak your truth!

As someone who grew up speaking more inside than out. I can say,
Vasavi's words can help you find gold from your shoveled soul.

You’re next on deck. SAY IT OUT LOUD!!!
