Ahhh the way I have loved listening to these fantastic performances in Savage Promises. Returning to this world, falling head over heels in love with these characters, and being immersed in the Quinlan’s chaos has been incredible with so many of my favorite tropes!

I loved this book. I will admit that the first is still my favorite but this is great.

Oh my gosh, this book is incredible! I had the chance to listen to it narrated by the amazing Avery Caris and Sean Masters, and it was an immersive experience like no other. Shane Quinlan is super protective of his family and determined to keep the woman he loves safe. But here’s the catch: she’s his fiancé’s sister, and that brings a whole host of complicated issues. Lennox is a total boss lady, and I’m HERE FOR IT! She’s not your typical mafia princess; she’s worked hard to get what she wants, but she knows she can never have what she truly wants… Shane. The journey Shane and Lennox take while dealing with family expectations, family drama, and outside threats makes for an amazing listen/read.

really good basic dark romance

Although I do like a little more smut, it was a good book. The voices were spot on, but I felt like it was missing a little something. I cant quite put my finger on. But still an amazing book about a strong and curvy FMC and a tough her and die MMC. Definitely recommend

I’m all in for the Quinlan Empire. Shane is the grumpy crime boss who adored his best friend’s sister. Lennox has loved her brother’s best friend since she was 15. Years later, Shane is arranged to marry Lennox’s little sister, but Shane is determined to get the woman he wants.

I’m looking forward to the rest of the Quinlan’s stories. This family is such a fun read/listen.

I read this book and then listened to the audiobook after, which made this story even better. Avery Crais and Sean Masters were great together and the duet narration was perfect for this story.

Loved this Irish Mafia love story… girl (Lennox )loves older brothers best friend (Shane), they share one kiss 💋 and poof 💨 it was over before it began. Girl heartbroken 💔. Years later they are brought together for an arranged marriage. Not hers , but her younger sister (Neve) to the love of her life , Shane. And so it begins , wedding plans and keeping mafia organization on top. Very enjoyable listen, Sean and Avery did such a great job with all the emotions and accents. It was like watching a movie and characters coming to life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥🔥🌶️🌶️🌶️. Deborah Garland . 👏🏻👏🏻

Savage Promises is the second book in the Quinlan Empire series. This is Shane Quinlan the youngest brother’s story. Shane has been in love a girl he can’t have since he was a young man. Lennox is the daughter of a rival Irish mafia family. Lennox grew up in a family that thinks women are only good for trades. Her father planned to trade her for marriage to profit his pockets. She became useless to her father, at eighteen, when a doctor told him she was not a virgin. She went to college for business in hope to take over her father’s club. Her father will never allow her to own the club. She now is saving to open her own club. Now fifteen years later Griffin Quinlan is the head of the family and is trying to unite old rival families. He wants to bind the Quinlans with the Donnellys. Shane’s position in the Quinlan family is known as the fixer. He has agreed to marry into the Donnelly family; however, it is not the daughter he has been in love with. Shane is going to be marrying Nev, Lennox’s 18-year sister. I loved this book! I can’t wait to continue this series.

Avery Caris and Sean Masters did a phenomenal job narrating this book in duet style narration.

Not Your Typical Mafia Book!

Lennox never forgot Shane. Not after that one night on her 18th birthday. That one moment they both said 'finally' and gave into their feelings. But just as quickly as it happened, it was over. Years pass. No contact. No closure.

When their paths cross again years later, it should’ve been a second chance. Instead, he’s being arranged to marry her younger and quite immature sister, Neve, who has zero interest in him and even less interest in marriage. But family duty runs deep, and Lennox steps into the role of supportive sister, even if it means helping plan a wedding to the one man her heart never let go of.

This book is packed with angst. But it isn’t just angst for angst’s sake. The push and pull, the will they or won't they? The kind of ache that sits in your chest long after you finish reading. And add in the plot twists that Deborah loves to shock readers with and you have a mafia love story unlike any other I've read before.

Sean Masters' deep, gravely Irish accent for Shane is subtle and sexy and totally swoon-worthy.
Avery Caris' soft voice for Lennox is a perfect match for Sean. Her performance is filled with emotion that never feels forced. It tore at my heartstrings with it's raw honesty.

Savage Promises is an example of everything I love about Deborah Garland’s writing. She takes well-known tropes and makes them entirely her own. There is nothing predictable about her writing. Coupled with narration from Sean and Avery, it became more than a book. It truly became a reading experience.

Intense Mafia Romance

Wow! The narrators did an amazing job. I could feel all the emotions and turmoil of Lennox and Shane. Talk about intense, I was literally on the edge of my seat at times. This book is full of family and mafia drama, mutual pining, angst and lots of steam. Two irish families on the outs agree to an arranged marriage. Of course nothing goes as planned and thank goodness for that. Shane and Lennox have amazing chemistry that can't be denied no matter how hard they try. I just love how growly and possessive Shane is and Lennox is such a strong and confident woman who truly holds her own with him even in the worst of times. They definitely have some bumps in the road but that makes the journey to their HEA so much sweeter. I highly recommend this 5 star must read book.

Another amazing listen

Every time I pick up the next Deborah Garland book, I know that the title for book boyfriend will be challenged. Her ability to create such complex and dangerously sexy characters is shocking. This story follows Shane and Lennox. The way that these two love each other from a distance until the were forced to find a loophole in Shane's arranged marriage has my heart skipping beats. Knowing full well this story will be filled with suspense, romance, and spice that leaves Shane holding the title for book boyfriend (at least of the Quinlan family.) I couldn't put this book down and I'm fully invested in this series, waiting for more to come. The narrator’s make this story come to life and it’s even better to immerse me in the world.
