Overall Thoughts: This book hit a bit differently for me than the first one in this series by Kate. Its more emotional and the damage from Xander’s past runs far deeper than Cash’s did in book one. Xander is fighting some internal demons and his struggles are real. The emotional arc for Xander was an interesting one, especially with the arc that Quinn goes through. This book was more emotional given they way Xander deals with the loss of his father, and his ex who messed him up. They dynamic between him and Quinn balance each other out as they fight it out together. Raven was fantastic as Quinn, and I look forward to listening to more of her in the future. Robert gave an excellent performance, and while it wasn’t the voice I imagined for Xander, I still really enjoyed it.

Quinn is struggling. After her boyfriend leaves her high and dry, and even working three jobs she can’t seem to get ahead or even stay afloat. When things start to change after encountering Xander, her life takes a drastic turn, and she isn’t she how she should feel about it.

Xander cannot get over the betrayal of his ex, or the múder of his father, and is on a path of self destruction, no one seems to be able to get him to course correct. Until a chance encounter with Quinn has him seeing life in a whole new way.

Xander has traded one addiction for another, but the damage from his trauma runs deep, and Quinn has dealt with too much of that in her past to let it slide. Can Xander prove he’s the man needs, or will his demons consume him and ruin the best thing to ever happen to him?

I love this series so much!

I am absolutely loving this series and these Savage men just keep getting better and better.

Xander Savage is in a rough spot. He has been straight surviving not thriving since his ex screwed him over and then his father died. That is until he meets his neighbor and he is OBSESSED. Quinn is this sweet ray of sunshine despite the fact that she has not had the best life. When the big, broody, tattooed man shows up at her door to return some mail that was accidently delivered to him instead of her, she cannot take her eyes off him. The thing is Xander is her boss and neither one of them knows it!

I loved Xander and Quinn's love for each other. I loved how Quinn did not back down from Xander and had no problem putting him in his place when needed. I also loved how Quinn stayed true to herself and basically told Xander get your shit together or I am gone! While she is submissive in the bedroom with Xander, in every day life she is this powerful woman who knows what she wants and will not settle even for love.

I love a good possessive and protective MMC who just wants to take care of his woman. And don't even get me started on the Daddy kink! HAWT!!!!!

Raven Wildewood and Robert Hatchet were amazing narrating Xander and Quinn. They were an excellent pairing and brought these characters to life in my earholes! I just loved them together so much!

I cannot wait for the next book in this series to hit audio next month!

Very heartbreaking at times

Xander's character definitely caught me off guard but in a good way. I had no idea he felt pain so deeply. I do love the fact that he made the right decision in the end and so did Quinn.

Gets better and better

Xander and Quinn, love their story. Strong FMC and a destroyed MMC who end up helping each other who went thru a learn heal. The story is heartwarming. with a lot of anguish. Possessive MMC despite his own struggles. Excellent narration. A five star for me.

If you don’t like the word “Daddy,” this book may not be your jam…BUT I promise, you WILL have an unlocked Daddy/Baby Girl k!nk after listening to this one! This was my first listen from Raven Wildewood and Robert Hatchet and I absolutely swallowed every word!!
