A breath of air

I very much enjoy the audiobooks of savage awakening (I speed it up to 155), I even follow the Narrator on tiktok. The change in this book is the breathing. You can hear him intake breath so Often, I even findmyselff Doing soft intakes of air To follow him. I hope that does not follow to the next audio edition. Other than that Well done.

Can't get past the narration

I honestly can't do another one of these. The mismatch between the book's content and narrator's tone is just baffling. It sounds like he's trying to record in secret - like he's stowed away in a closet, nearly whispering into his phone. The weird, slow, quiet, somber way that he's read this book has leached every bit of energy out of its otherwise bombastic story. It's been enough of a problem in some of the prior books that I've nearly walked away from them several times. My heart sank when I realized this one would be the same. I gave it a sincere shot for a dozen or so chapters, but I just can't make myself keep listening. I'll pick up the text version of the book.

The book itself is great, though. Absurd and hilarious as always.
