Publisher's Summary

Charlotte Conroy, Juilliard-trained violinist, was on the cusp of greatness when tragedy swooped down on dark wings, crushing her hopes and breaking her heart. The music that used to sing in her soul has grown quiet, and she feels on the verge of setting down her violin for good. To pay the bills, she accepts a job as a personal assistant to a bitter, angry young man who's been disabled by a horrific accident....

Noah Lake was an extreme-sports athlete, journalist, and photographer. He roamed the world in search of his next adrenaline high, until a cliff-dive left him in a coma. He awakes to find his career gone, his dreams shattered to pieces, his world an endless blackness that will never lift.

Charlotte begins to see that beneath Noah's angry, brittle exterior is a young man in pain. She is determined to show him that his life isn't over, that he has so much to live for, never dreaming that she would become the only light in his darkness, or that he would help her find the music in hers.

The life he knew is over. The life she wants is just out of reach.

Together, they must face their fears and rediscover what it means to really live.

Contains mature themes.

Don't Rush through this one!

When I saw Aaron Shedlock narrating this book, it was a one click for me. I had never listened to an Emma Scott book, but decided to make it my next listen. And was I prepared? NO! This book blew me away. Scott weaves a beautiful love story between Noah and Charlotte, Noah is an extreme sport journalist and when an accident occurs, his life changes completely. Charlotte, a prodigy violinist loses her love of playing when tragedy strikes her life. These two broken souls are brought together by fate, and we get to take their journey to healing together. I don't know of another book that has given me so many emotions. I would laugh and feel warm hearted, then frustrated and angry, but when it all comes down to the end, I felt the love and passion that these two have for life and each other. And let's not forget the secondary characters that are so pivotal, from Lucian to Deacon, we have the ones we love and the ones we love to hate. Scott has outdone herself, and I can't wait to grab more of her books.

Casting a book like this is so crucial, and the team of Aaron Shedlock and Caitlin Kelly could not have been more perfect. Shedlock captures the essence of Noah, letting us feel his rage and pain. His talent lets us into the head of Noah and with each inflection we feel his emotions. Kelly as Charlotte gives us everything. I love Kelly's ability to zone in on Charlotte's feelings and pour them into her voice. From tears to joy, I was taken through it all, and loved every minute.

5 ADRENALINE-PUMPING STARS!

No words can possibly express my EPIC love for this resplendent novel written by Emma Scott! RUSH, a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece about two lost souls who are brought together by fate, fill one another’s broken places, and bring bright shimmering light into each other’s bleak worlds, was absolutely SPELLBINDING. The heart-wrenching feels were so agonizing at times it felt like a punch to the gut, yet at the same time my soul was lifted to extraordinary heights!

Emma Scott, a relatively new fave author of mine, truly outdid herself with this breathtaking love story. The pain, hope, fire and love were just so brilliantly woven throughout and my heart was swelling with raw, guttural emotion from start to finish!!!!! This is the kind of unforgettable and awe-inspiring story that dreams are made of...it borrows down deep and leaves a lasting imprint that can NEVER be erased! The road to HEA was riddled with tumult and seemingly insurmountable obstacles, but gah the selfless, unconditional love and unwavering devotion that Charlotte and Noah exhibited toward each other throughout their transcendent journey left me weeping with joy and basking in a giddy state of euphoric of bliss!

This audio, narrated with sensitivity, passion, tenderness and exquisite grace by Caitlin Kelly and Aaron Shedlock, gave me full body chills, moved me to tears, broke my heart and then miraculously healed it, and truly was a sumptuous symphony that resounded to the deepest recesses of my soul!!! Aaron and Caitlin were the perfect narrators to bring the beloved characters of Charlotte and Noah to life and their stunning, gorgeously nuanced performances were nothing short of EXHILARATING. And while I have long been an admirer of Mr. Shedlock’s incredible work, this is my first listen of Ms. Kelly’s. But now that I have, I am now a total fangirl!

BOTTOM LINE:
RUSH is a top Audio listen of the year for me and I truly cannot recommend it highly enough!

The audio exceeded my expectations!

In July of 2015 I came across a book that would ultimately become one of my all-time favorites. In my review I wrote that I had a feeling I'd be thinking about the characters and their story for quite awhile. And not quite 4 years later here I am again, just as completely enthralled as I was that first time. Rush was my first book by Emma Scott, it's the one that started my love affair with her, and I haven't looked back since. Fitting it should be my first audiobook of hers as well.

The audiobook was beyond wonderful. Caitlin Kelly and Aaron Shedlock Voice Artist were so perfectly cast as Charlotte and Noah. When I heard Aaron was going to be the one giving voice to Noah I was so, so thrilled- he's become one of my favorite narrators and I couldn't wait to hear him bring my sweet Noah to life! And I'm not embarrassed to admit, the first time I did hear Noah speak, I honestly burst into tears. This was the first book I've listened to with Caitlin and she was just terrific as Charlotte. I know she's narrated some of Emma's other books and I can't wait to listen to them.

To hear Charlotte and Noah's story come to life was seriously everything for me. I sobbed my way through the last couple of chapters and I just wanted to start the audio all over again when I finished. What I wouldn't give to have Noah's "memoir" Endless Possibility turned into an audiobook.
