Favorite and Heartwarming!
This is truly my favorite book of this author and narrator. I laughed, cried and my heart felt happy when I finished it. I think this is also my favorite romance novel too!

A very well written story, touching on women abuse which is unfortunately occurs too often even in present times. The story take place during the civil war in the US and also touch on the brutality against slaves. I liked the heroine strength inspire of what she endures and how the hero eventually overcome his anger.

Unexpected gem
This is not a normal frivolous historical romance. It had a lot more depth and some more serious subject matter while still being really enjoyable to listen to. Such a nice surprise. Definitely recommend this book.
