Publisher's summary

With the Amish church of Stoney Ridge facing a crisis, minister David Stoltzfus must decide if a Quieting will solve the problem...or make it worse.

The Stoltzfus family faces serious problems, both in the church and at home. Everyone in the community expects minister David Stoltzfus to fix things - fast. But David doesn't work fast. He prefers to wait for God to work in individual hearts. However, even he is left wondering if the solution to their most pressing problem might be a Quieting.

When David's mother arrives uninvited, more upheaval is in store. She has matchmaking plans for everyone in the family, including David and her eligible granddaughters - and especially for David's niece, Abigail. When Abigail stumbles onto a curious connection during her genealogical research, it could help David solve one problem - but will it create another?

Best-selling author Suzanne Woods Fisher takes fans back to Stoney Ridge, delivering the twists, turns, and romance they adore.

Suzanne Woods Fisher, great author

She has a good understanding of the Amish community and human nature. I'm still on the edge of my seat for a Book 3 in this series.

Entertaining, Funny, Good Messages, Great Book

This book had me laughing out loud at times. It is more entertaining than most Amish Romances. Perhaps because I recognized myself in Abigail. The author and narrator did a fine job with this one. I am very much looking forward to the next in the series. The Lord always uses these stories to speak exactly what I need to learn at the time. You will be blessed by this one.

Caring tale of our frailty, God's faithfulness

The author creates such heartfelt situations and realistic characters who seek to find God's will for their life. The struggle to choose right and the reality of seeking forgiveness for mistakes, make the story so very real. Also, her ways of weaving humor into their lives and sometimes a touch of romance. I love that the story is well thought out and brings deep feelings into it. The author is writing a multi-faceted story. I couldn't put it down.

superbly compelling

dealing with knotty problems all too common. some of the heart and difficult personality clashes in family affair s. the hardest one considered pride and manipulation in church leadership. the wide cast of characters and surprising turns us plot kept the reader from the least boredom, and offering much food for thought.

Best Book

This is Suzanne's best book yet! A very engaging and intriguing story. The narrator is still not my favorite because of her clipped-words style, but she does put good emotion into the characters.

Excellent!

Loved it, although all the loose ends wrapped up rather quickly at the end. Ending was very sudden.

EXASPERATINGLY IRRITATING

NEARLY EVERY CHARACTER IS DRAWN TO BE AS IRRITATING AS POSSIBLE, THE SUB-PLOTS ARE TEDIOUS AND FRUSTRATING . I USUALLY LOVE SUZANNE'S BOOKS, BUT COULDN'T FINISH THIS ONE !
