Publisher's Summary

Someone once told me that happiness is fleeting. I can see now that he was right. I'm trapped in a black hole of darkness I can't seem to crawl out of. My twin and my lover want each other dead and I'm pregnant with a baby I don't know how to protect. Ryland says he will do anything to get me back, but how do you trust the man who almost killed you? When every option before you comes at a cost, how do you choose the right path? People say that history has a way of repeating itself. Six years after the fact, my father's actions are still haunting me. When I learn about an old debt yet to be settled, everything changes. It might not matter who I trust anymore when my every breath brings me one step closer to the end of this twisted game.

Better than the first

This is the second book in the series and it was better than the first. I listen to this audio and was consumed by it. The narrator did a fantastic job once again playing both characters. The conclusions I had made in the first story turned out to be completely wrong. I was pleasantly surprised and excited with each new chapter I heard. A great ending to a dark passionate audio.

Heart Beat

A. Zavarelli and Tracy Marks did it again the best combination since peanut butter and jelly. I am emotionally drained and still coming off the high of this emotional rollercoaster. Once I started I couldn't stop until the end. definitely worth it☺

Revenge Is A Beast

Is revenge the beast that either Ryland or Brighton want to slay? The conclusion of this story is an enthralling journey through false paths set by family and foe alike. I like that Brighton was strong enough to make decisions to remove herself from the violence that has consumed both her brother and her lover. Kudos for strong women and Brighton proves to be a strong woman that fights for the life she wants. Ryland figures out what's important to him and now it's just a matter of what he's willing to do or give up to have it.

I have loved everything that I've listened to from A. Zavarelli and I'm sure Tracy Marks' narration helps to sell a few more copies. Keep the great listens coming.

Absolutely worth the credit.

Good story, Great Narration!

This is a hard book to review! I loved where this story went, I loved the characters and how strong Brighton became throughout their story. This entire book felt like build up for a big ending but the ending felt rushed. I wanted to see more after the "incident" not just a summary of what happened later. Besides that, I loved their story.

Tracy Marks was perfect as always <3

Wow, just wow

If you could sum up Stutter in three words, what would they be?

moving, heart-stirring

What did you like best about this story?

That Brighton was strong enough to fight for the life that she wanted and that Ryland was such a protector.

What about Tracy Marks’s performance did you like?

She kept the tension going throughout the story, She helped you ride the roller coaster of twists and turns of the story,

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked the whole book.

Any additional comments?

I got this book via audiobook boom. The action throughout was good. I don't like any story where the woman decides if she is going to tell the man he is a father. The father has a right to know even if she is upset with him. It takes two to make a baby and it takes two to make decisions about the baby. The only time I feel not telling him is if the woman was raped or the father is a danger to her and the child.

A RIVETING, INTENSE, SOLID FOLLOW UP WITH TWISTS!

Wow! A. Zavarelli delivers another intense installment that will not only keep you in suspense, guessing, but right on the edge. Zavarelli really puts the characters through the ringer, and the emotions run high...... again. I loved Brighton's strengths shined through. She's been through so much, and it's good to see she didn't crumble, but instead found the strength to stand up for those she loved when it mattered the most. I agree with the other reviewers, and loved Ursula G's heading, she really "hit the nail on the head."

Minor Spoilers:
Zavarelli has done it again! If we didn't ❤️ Ryland before, his character has taken a 180, and he feels so much remorse, and guilt for the accident that almost claimed Brighton. He's vowed to ensure no harm comes to her or her family, and has even taken steps to help them. Due to the betrayal, Brighton needs time to forgive Ryland, and they start a push/Pull relationship. Compared to Echo, the sex scenes were steamy, but were also sweeter, and more meaningful. This time around Brighton has more control over her life, and their relationship. Well, that is until Ryland learns his life is about to change forever, and if you thought he was dominant, protective, and over-baring before, he takes it to a whole new level. Ryland really goes above, and beyond. I loved his character, and all his POV's. When a new danger threatens Brighton, he's going to show everyone what he's made of.

Tracy Marks is a very talented narrator. I have to give her kudos for not only delivering on all the emotions, but she does a great job on both the female, and male characters.

The down and dirty: This is one of those stories that will stick with you well after you've finished listening, and it's perfect for dark romance junkies like me. I loved every minute, and hope you do as well! 🤗I received this audio in exchange for an honest review, and feel it's well worth the time, credit or sale! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what Zavarelli brings to audio next!

Excellent Conclusion!

I'm SO glad that A. Zavarelli released this on audio. I appreciate the opportunity to experience it without having to sit and read, and Tracy Marks is absolutely awesome, as usual. This is the conclusion to the story which was begun in Echo. Lots of dynamics change, and the story progresses with drama and intrigue to keep it interesting. The HEA takes a while, but it's a great ride that results in a satisfying epilogue.

I will always consider a release by this awesome author and this fantastic narrator an auto-purchase...unless I can get it for free, which reminds me:

--- I did receive this title in exchange for an unbiased review----

Apparently, there are 2 people who will never be happy with my giving 5 stars to the author, the narrator and the overall experience. (SIGH) So sad for them. Not sure if they hate A.Zavarelli, Tracy Marks or myself, but it amuses me that their hatred is so enduring and petty that they continue to make their displeasure known. What can you do besides laugh? Well, you can go get this lovely duet. It's definitely worth the time and credits!
