Publisher's Summary

Never fall for your best friend....

Pushing 30, with his reenlistment looming, decorated navy sniper Maddox Horvat is taking a long look at what he really wants in life. And what he wants is Ben Tovey. It isn't smart, falling for his best friend and fellow SEAL, but 10 years with Ben has forged a bond so intimate Maddox can't ignore it. He needs Ben by his side forever - heart and soul.

Ben admits he likes what he's seen - his friend's full lower lip and the perfect muscles of his ass have proved distracting more than once. But Ben's still reeling from a relationship gone to hell, and he's not about to screw up his friendship with Maddox, too.

Until their next mission throws Ben and Maddox closer together than ever before, with only each other to depend on.

Now, in the lonely, desperate hours awaiting rescue, the real challenge - confronting themselves, their future and their desires - begins. Man to man, friend to friend, lover to lover.

This is book three in the Out of Uniform series. Don't miss the first two books:

Book one: Off Base
Book two: At Attention

Mixed feelings

I enjoyed the story and I love J.F.Harding, but I felt a disconnect between Maddox and Ben. I felt Ben was always only trying to please Maddox and never really felt he was as into Maddox as much as Maddox was into him. Even up to the ending I didn’t feel that overwhelming happiness that I like when the two heroes get their HEA. But I was glad to read their story.

stalking skills

This is what i come upon when i start stalking a narrator. J. F. Harding is one of the best narrators out there. and on top of that. Ifind this gem of a book out there. A story about the love between two men. Best friends. navy seal buddys. And roomates.
I know this is book 3 in a series. but it didnt matter at all.
It only got me thinking that i might need to look into Annabeth Albert some more. This girl can write.

Another winner!

Hearing how these two went from best friends to lovers was heartbreaking at times. Maddox is looking at his life and realizes that he has to make changes yet he is worried on how Ben will take to these changes. As these two take you on a wild emotional wild, you find yourself cheering then wanting to smack someone on the back of the head to get them to wake up. Another great book in the series and I enjoyed the glimpses into the lives of the past couples.

Wonderful Surprise

Another audio book to add to my collection. As always JF Harding did an amazing job with bringing these characters to life. Story has all necessary elements for great erotica.

I love this series and this is my fav so far!

I. LOVED. This. Book!

First, I love the series and it’s original spinoff. Though each book is absolutely a stand alone, you get a little bit “more” if you read them in order – first the #gaymers series then the Out of Uniform series.

Ben, we’ve met before, and he isn’t as loveable as some of the other characters. He sleeps around a lot and doesn’t seem to catch a clue that Maddox is so obviously in love with him.

(Little warning, there is a ménage scene in this that involves Maddox and Ben and someone else who doesn’t seem to mean anything later – just in case you hate that stuff.)

Maddox is so, so, so wonderful. He’s sweet, sensitive, caring – and built like a linebacker! I love that! I loved how torn he was between doing what was right for himself versus what was right for his family or for Ben.

The smexy times are – as always- smokin’. Annabeth can seriously write some hot chemistry and these two sizzle! Maddox opens up and Ben gets downright naughty with the dirty talk!

I was almost near tears when our two MCs are injured – and that is what finally drew them together, I think. So, most of the story is really these two guys learning how to really be in a relationship together after years of friendship. There is still relationship angst and other issues to overcome, but a lot of this is these two guys – being adults – and dealing with a new “reality”.

This is hands down my favorite in the Out of Uniform series – these two guys just really touched me, Maddox especially. I can’t wait for the next one!

I can’t recommend the series or this book enough – highly recommended! 6 of 5 stars

Audio

JF Harding is a relatively new to me narrator. I’ve listened to the Kage series and of course the Cut and Run series but I couldn’t have told you who narrated those audiobooks. (They’re not my favorite series and I guess I just wasn’t paying attention ;) He did a FANTASTIC job with this! He’s got excellent timing and an understanding the material. He uses great voice differentiation and accents and I was really taken in by his interpretation of the writing.

I loved reading this but I think listening is the even better way to experience this!

Highly recommended!

On Point was just that.....ON POINT!

Where does On Point rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This book is one of the best of all the books I've listened to so far.

What was one of the most memorable moments of On Point?

When Ben came to the ultimate realization.

Which scene was your favorite?

The last, of course.

Any additional comments?

I certainly hope this will not be the last of the series! I would love to continue on with this cast of characters!

one of the best books i read

If you could sum up On Point in three words, what would they be?

sexy, emotional, real

What other book might you compare On Point to and why?

i would compare it to Annabeth's At Attention. it was so full of emotions and really got me in the gut. On Point is unlike the other 2 books, it's different in the story, narrative, feels, the suspense in the jungle at the beginning. I can't even express all I think and feel, like a big bubble in my chest swelling with every word. BUT the vibe the book has is the same, the feel it in your sould, you feel what they feel, i ache when they ache.

What does J. F. Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Harding did an amazing job capturing the characters, giving them a voice so true, bringing every emotion into his narration, he is one of the best narrators I heard yet! i don't think i would have liked the book as much if i had just read it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes!!! i had to keep meself from it because i only listen while working.

Any additional comments?

Ben and Maddox have been friends for over a decade, but now the balance is slowly crumbling and they have to make a choice, or tumble down. The mission to retrieve to hostages, the fear when Maddox and Ben are hurt and lost, running out of time to get back with their unit felt very real. The confusion the flashbacks that are incorporated at that part is so fitting. They are fighting for their lives, and through that we learn the conflicts between them from the first time they met to the sexual attraction bubbling beneath the surface of their friendship. And it just felt like I was there, I was afraid, I was confused with them! As they heal and have to face their choices and how to go on, as friends or lovers, in the army, in life I was riveted. This was a fantastic book, every new book she publishes surprises me, usually book series are similar, plots and characters the same, but these guys are individually touching and unique. Also J. F. Harding is so amazing, I haven't gotten the other books on audio yet, but I like the fact the narrators are different, It make every book its own universe in a way.

Best of the Series

By far the best of this series! Loved every moment!! These characters were the best developed by Ms. Albert, and it was so easy to root for them throughout the whole story.

Wonderful story

I enjoyed the two previous books and when I saw that JF Harding was narrating the third, I pre-ordered it..... So excited when it hit my account yesterday. Once again, the series doesn't diapoint and Mr. Harding was fantastic!!
